  2. huh? just use wooden doors. the wooden doors are meant to take you one level "UP" from your current dimension. do this until you reach the overworld.
  3. tbh whats the point? i just smelt and pulverize it all the time. ive never had to worry about not having enough iron for anything. if you use the correct process you can get a ton of other stuff like shiny ingots and ferrous metal. also, its better for storage since, as you should know, the larger the disk that is used the more space and bites each individual item takes. so for example, 10 items in a 64k disk take 16k bites while it takes less than 1000 for a small disk. (random numbers but they are close) ps: if you worry about never having some unrefined ore for whatever reason just save a stack of each on a chest. i honestly would love to hear why you (and many others) prefer not to smelt ores right away, when it, at least for me, is a great time saver for when i build things. you know how long it wouldve taked to build 4 max size fission reactors if i hadnt the tin and copper already smelted? i spent nearly 10k copper and a third of that on tin. Edit: wow, sorry. i just realized how out of context this post is.
  4. If anyone really wants to find the limit (if there is on) of the conduits try above 2k mj/t. thats when i stopped caring aobut the limit.
  5. i have my doubts here, some experimentation gave me some results that point toward conduits being able to get up to 2k MJ/t. you can empty 20 REC into 25 REC, through ONE conduit as bottleneck at the same time 1 REC empties completely.
  6. 1- single player is 100% smooth 2- most of the time 100% (sometimes 80%) 3- ill check that one up but i installed java not long ago. so its likely a yes 4- core 17-3770k 3.50, i believe its overcloked at 3.8 or 4.1 doesn't really matter though. also, my ping to the server is 52 ms, since the beggining and this problem just started a week ago or so. >:S Edit: thank you for making me recheck the java JRE, i had it but i thought that having both, 64 and 32 versions would help. it did.No lagg so far.

  8. any idea why any kind of light emitting block would look like its actually sucking light? everything around illumintaros, for example, looks even darker once i turn them on.... anyone knows why?
  9. @plow i just made an upgrade in the texture pack and the lightning is a little screwed up.... is it me or a pack issue? Edit: it was a clean install of both sphax and the patch both 128 of course.

AFAIK one bucket of biofuel gives 16000 MJ. and one seed is nowhere near enough to get there. so is highly possible that: a) your friend heavily modified a power source that was already borderline OP. b)the generator already had fuel inside c) the cell recharged from another source or had energy before (remember that REC default to Input. so its possible that while you changed the arrow some power leaked in. d) all of the above.

  12. since you seem to know about this.... how about liquids clipping through pipes and containers and all that? any fix for that?

  14. hey there, after some time looking around and from what other players get i noticed that im the only one that has serious lag issues. its the kind of lag that makes your night vision stutter as well as making blocks not to break. I've noticed that it happens every 10 or so seconds and it lasts for at least 5 seconds. when i started playing on this server i had no problem with lag and this issue started just recently. any tips/help i can get to solve this issue would be much appreciated?
  15. our server suffers some bad lagg spikes. mostly when I AM online. my bet is on the massive ammount of ME cabling ive used. ( over 1000 units, give or take a couple hundred buses). im planing on using a dim pocket to place my entire ME system, branching out into dozens of interdiemtional gates. that would eliminate like 90% of that cabling.
  16. you can ALWAYS start with a couple of golden conductive pipes. they no longer loose energy and for short distances are practically the energy conduits of the poor man. hell, you could even use stone conductive pipes, as long as you dont surpass the energy transport limit. after that think of adding a makeshift battery. its dirt cheap and a good storage for early power storage. (upgradable too) Edit: Makeshift batteries Loose their power if broken! nad if upgraded they return to tier one. make sure you place them where you want them. also, the makeshift battery inputs enegy from any side but the green light side. thats the ONLY output side.
  17. optifine always had that issue, none of the MPS icons show correctly.
  18. the machine block is fot MFR isnt it? well they changed all the recipees so they use TE machine frames.
  19. changing the texture pack with the client running creates problems. every time you change that make sure you restart the client. as for the problems with the sphax.....are you using optifine? optifine just doesnt work well with tekkit. the last version i tried made all the liquids clip through their containers.... if that doesnt work try a clean install of the sphax and reset the client. if that doesnt work i dont know what else XS
  20. http://imgur.com/a/2jvQE i added a couple more pictures so you can see how i used the multiple steam funnels to take the steam from the lowest line to the top and how i fed the turbines.

So, just to give you an idea of what i did. first i looked at how the plasma extended. it took me a very long time but i finally found that it usually extends 6 blocks out from the source to the NSEW directions, it extends more but i wanted reliable steam production, and some spots spent entire minutes without the plasma even coming close. once i knew how wide the plasma extended i just started a layered placement of steam funnels, making sure that the electromagnets that were touched by plasma has a wáter source and a funnel on top. the design you see there is 4 reactors in a flower shape. some funnels extend upwards more than others because some magnets are lower than the top ones as we all know. after that it was just using liquiducts making sure that all of them were in extraction mode and then (on my first try) used Rednet cable. do not use rednet cable like this, its not reliable the signal doesnt reach all the spots. after i noticed that, and the thread about rednet causing lagg i decided to remove it and added redstoneblocks. after i did this i just piped the steam downstairs, like you can see on the second picture. the steam goes into a bunch of liquid tesseracts that then i pump it into my turbine room. each set of 9 large turbines has one tesseract underneath. im planing on following kiwi´s idea and pump it into a large 12.2k buckets container made out of liquid managers.

  23. you can power a lot more turbines. yes, the funnel only moves steam vertically, what we did was use a liquiduct to move the steam from there. thats why you see so many redstone blocks, those are powering the liquidutcs to extract the steam from the funnels. if you want any more images tell me and ill post em.
  24. its a work in progress. in those images your can see the 4 reactors placed in the shape of a flower, covering as much water as possible. then i placed the steam funnels on top and then liquiducts with redsone blocks to extract the steam. the steam goes into tesseracts. http://imgur.com/a/2jvQE
