Any pack that has EE2 [iIRC just Tekkit Classic and Yogbox, apart from Platform packs] will have EMC values. EE3, which is what would be in any pack in 1.4.x or greater, does not have EMC.

IIRC, Immibis's Microblocks work with RedNet cables (and can be made out of any opaque block instead of just RedPower and Vanilla ones).

There's not much of a difference between using Energy Conduits and Conductive Pipes, as far as setting them up goes. Conduits are generally better though, especially for high power or long distance power (if you're not using something like tesseracts).

Nobody is forcing you to switch to the new Tekkit. Tekkit Lite is still in the launcher. You can still play it.

Tekkit and Tekkit Lite contain different mods. Also Tekkit Lite is for 1.4.7 and Tekkit is for 1.5.1.

Why would downloading the new launcher update your old one?

It takes a lot of energy to turn cobblestone into lava (20000 MJ), and the operation won't start until that much energy is in the internal buffer. Does it have 20000+ MJ? Or not, it could be that.

IIRC, there's a module for the Power Gauntlet that lets you teleport [blink Drive] and another one for one of the pieces of armor that will draw items toward you. Can't think of anything that replicates the liquid-removal or Gem of Eternal Density functions, though.
