  1. If you let the internal power buffer completely fill for too long, they will seize up. You could set up a redstone energy cell between the engines and the quarry so that once the quarry is finished and no longer requests power, excess energy gets stored for later. Won't prevent them from seizing up forever, but will provide extra time before the seizing would occur.
  2. Did you enable magnet mode in NEI?
  3. I find that this also occurs to me every once in a while. Try command-tabbing to another program so that the game goes to the pause menu and then go back in to it and resume play. Usually fixes it for me.
  4. It may be difficult to find the battery box because there isn't a battery box in Tekkit. The closest related item is the Redstone Energy Cell.
  5. You can completely turn it off by pressing "O", but instead I would recommend going into the options (found at the bottom left of when your inventory is open) and changing it from cheat mode to recipe mode. What this will do is set it so that left clicking on an item will show any recipes used to make it, and right clicking on an item will show any recipes it is used in.
  6. I think I see what you're trying to do. I assume you want the oil to dump out of the pipe and into the container you built out of marble below it? Thing is, pipes don't work like that. The oil will just stop if the pipeline ends. However, based on the ruby sword and the EE2 band it appears that you're on Tekkit Classic, which means that you could use RedPower fluid pipes and grates to transfer oil in that way. You'd have to bucket out the oil you already have in your tank manually, though, since fluid pipes don't connect to BuildCraft tanks. Or waterproofed pipes. They only interface with the source blocks themselves.
  7. Your best bet would be to try to contact him through whatever thread you found the server on. Generally the person who posted the thread is the owner of the server.
  8. The only thing I could really recommend is to explain your story to the admin of "the server", whichever one that is. Maybe he'll revoke the ban. Who knows, misunderstandings happen.
  9. Anyways... I don't know what you think posting this here is going to accomplish (hint: it won't accomplish anything).
  10. My guess is it's probably just because you're letting it run for so long. Have you tried setting up something to automatically restart the server every couple of hours/once a day/whatever?
  11. That's nice.
  12. Play a modpack that has a 1.5.2 version. Tekkit Lite was never updated past 1.4.7.
  13. Work is being done to get the launcher to work with 1.6.x.
  14. The old Technic pack hasn't been around since 1.2.5 and isn't officially available anymore. There are remakes of it on the Platform, though. You could try searching there.
  15. Use the Energetic Infuser from Thermal Expansion to charge Power Armor and the Power Tool.
  16. Yog-Sothoth comes to mind.
  17. The blue/green/yellow/orange/red thing is for standard Buildcraft engines. These steam engines are from Thermal Expansion. The red is just a visual effect that means it's on, if they overheat they'll just lock up until you right-click on them with a wrench.
  18. By default, applying redstone to steam engines turns them off. Try turning off the redstone and see if that fixes the problem. If they continue not to function after not being powered, they may have overheated as a result of running without water - try right clicking them with a wrench (and making sure they have water) to get them working again.
  19. http://wiki.technicpack.net/IC2RP2ReplacementGuide As for Lite itself, yes, it's a good deal of fun.
  20. Tekkit 3 is Classic. Tekkit 4 would be an updated version of Classic. Tekkit Main (Or Tekkit Space, or just Tekkit, or whatever else) is not an updated version of Classic. Thus, Tekkit Main ≠ Tekkit 4. As for things like Industrial Craft 2, here's my story of IC2: I used it for quite a while. Then some magic day I discovered Thermal Expansion's way of doing things. I never looked back.
  21. I assume he's referring to the mod Evil Minecraft. Which hasn't been updated since 1.2.5 and is no longer being updated. I don't really see the need for a modpack of this, since it's one mod.
  22. For the most part, no. Some work also has to be done on the launcher to make it work with 1.6.x due to some changes made by Mojang, IIRC.
  23. If you continue the pipe system and loop it back to the chest, the wood/charcoal should just continue on its way and return to the chest when the furnace is full.
  24. I put in my Minecraft username and password. As in, the one I bought from Mojang for $13.
