  1. Actually, that's not true. Build an Energetic Infuser and you can use MJ to charge your armor/tool.
  2. That's a mod. Specifically this one. Basically when you have, say, a Slot II enchant, you can add any applicable level II enchant to that item.
  3. There will be floodlights from Greg's Lightning that can light up an entire vertical area once it doesn't have a world-corrupting bug in it. The Power Tool also has a Lux Capacitor that will spend some energy to create a light source.
  4. Thermal Expansion's pulverizer will cover your needs. It even has a few features that will help with automation (i.e. it automatically outputs products and you can choose which sides on the machine go with which slots in the GUI).
  5. If you like using marble and basalt for building, Minefactory Reloaded has some decorative blocks that will suit your needs. Look up Blackstone and Whitestone.
  6. Yeah, but until I actually get around to learning real shading it will suffice.
  7. To use the dodge/burn tool, which I hadn't noticed before. Basically what they do is increase/decrease the color of whatever you're using it on, so the highlights are done with the dodge tool and the shadows with the burn tool.
  8. I decided to use that line art thing I made to test out some advice I got for shading so here we go
  9. CovertJaguar changed his requirements for permission, keeping it would have required the team to publicly display the permissions. They figured that private discussions between them and the modders should stay private. So it's gone now.
  10. It would probably help to tell us what is going wrong (i.e. launcher not opening, voltz crashing on startup, any associated crash logs, etc.).
  11. Electric engines aren't necessary, just use PowerConverters to convert between EU and MJ.
  12. Almost everything in RP2, frames being the most notable exception, can be replicated either equally or better with other mods in the new Tekkit. No, not really.
  13. To quote Cheap Shot,
  14. Hey look it's more art
  15. Immibis' Microblocks covers that.
  16. Greg's Lighting will be good for my tendency to build tower-type structures.
  17. Click on it.
  18. Then downgrade to Java 6?
  19. If I remember correctly, Java 7 doesn't work with Technic (or other modpacks/mods) in Mac OS X. Try downgrading to Java 6 and see if that helps.
  20. There's still mining involved, just significantly less of it. As has been said before, it's all about play style. Some people like spending a lot of time mining. Some people would rather use creative mode. And some still want to mine, but either don't have the time/patience/etc to spend as much as the first group and would rather just get into the other portions of mods (i.e. the things that are the reason you were collecting resources).
  21. Perhaps it's so they can spend more time enjoying the content added by the mods and less time sitting in a cave/quarry/mineshaft/whatever looking for resources.
  22. Since Technic isn't in the new launcher, I'm going to assume you mean the version of the Technic Launcher. Click on the gear icon in the top right and an options window will pop up. Above the options concerning whether to use stable or beta launcher builds it will state the launcher build you are currently using.
  23. It's a good thing you didn't provide any form of proof. Otherwise I might have not believed you.
  24. No, you're thinking of PlanetMinecraft. This is for planetMinecraft, which is completely different.
