  1. GeForce 4? I clearly remember drooling at the pictures of this back in 2004... XD
  2. As far as I know, there's no SMP patch that makes IC2 explosives respect the event chain. You can't stop it, you can't roll it back, and you can't CreeperHeal it. I really, REALLY wish one of these coder geniuses makes a patch for this soon. [edit] Monitor this thread, this guy claims he will do it soon: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,12026.0.html [/edit]
  3. It worked fine on Tekkit 2.1.1, though. Now I have 2 players raging because they have loads of coke that they can't use... XD
  4. Launcher/pack Version: server 3.0.4 (EE disabled) Operating System: Slackware 13.37 Version of Java: JRE 1.7.0-b147 Description of Problem: Coal coke does not burn in steam engines. It just stays there not doing anything. I tired restarting the server but it didn't help. Coal coke does burn fine in regular furnaces. I think there was a config file to add custom fuels... where was it? :)
  5. Minecraft.net authorization servers were fudging up all day today. :/
  6. I've updated the server to Tekkit 3.0.4! Update your clients and come have some funnnn with us as we all learn the new Tekkit stuff together! =D
  7. You missed the part where I am a level 5 black-belt troll and your attempt to amuse me seems pathetic from my perspective. Also ponies.
  8. I tried playing with the RP2r5 long before Tekkit 3 came out and I realized the same thing. I had a hard time finding a volcano. I'm guessing they decided to make them less common at some point...
  9. Tick sync warning on startup...? You need a new host. If I were you I would ignore those warnings and attempt a connection anyways... The last error about string length can be safely ignored. Don't know about the other ones, though.
  10. Hello there! I want to know if there are any new over-powered items in Tekkit 3 that a server admin would like to disable. I know these from Tekkit 2: - Equivalent Exchange (don't turn this into an EE debate, please, I have the whole thing disabled in my server) - mining laser - quantum armor - nukes But what about Tekkit 3? :)
  11. Re: [Tekkit 3.0.3 - V3 R1] WorldGuard Support -- [RELEASED] Hello. Is there any known way to protect WG/Factions/Towny/whathaveyou protected land from IC2 explosives? Nukes, dynamite, and mining lasers (in explosive mode only) all blow up stuff without checking anything. This happens in both Tekkit 2.1.1 and 3.0.3. Any clues? Thanks! :)
  12. I haven't looked into it yet, but I see there's a "8K Memory Module" item so I'm assuming this will be a pain in the ass to master. Thankfully I spent some time programming old Gameboys... :D
  13. Re: SCANDIC Tekkit Survival Server [NEW!] [Factions] [PvP] [semi-Anarchy] The server is working on Tekkit 2.1.1. The IP is scandic.us:25573. It seems like you missed the port number. [edit] You didn't mean updated to Tekkit 3, did you? I will update to that version as soon as it's officially released out of beta. [/edit]
  14. Ender chests are the only way to transfer items between worlds. One time I made a inter-world ComputerCraft communicator with a bunch of ender chests, transposers and pressure plates. :P
  15. My server is open and you're welcome to join us: scandic.us:25573 It's 24/7 and I'm always here to monitor problems/crashes/etc. so you don't have to worry about any of that. :)
  16. Re: SCANDIC Tekkit Survival Server [NEW!] [Factions] [PvP] [semi-Anarchy] We have 3 factions already and a handful of regulars! Keep coming, guys! :)
  17. Re: SCANDIC Tekkit Survival Server [No EE] [Factions] [PvP] [Minimal Rules] Nope, it's working fine and there's 2 people playing. Did you type in the port number? It's scandic.us:25573. You'd get a EOS error if you try to connect on the default port because there's a MC1.2.5 server running on that port.
  18. Re: SCANDIC Tekkit Survival Server [No EE] [Factions] [PvP] [Minimal Rules] LOL. I'm sorry. I feel dumb. I put it up at the top of the OP, it's scandic.us:25573.
  19. SERVER IP: scandic.us:25573 SERVER IP: scandic.us:25573 SERVER IP: scandic.us:25573 Server website: http://scandic.us/tekkit Hello! I run the normal-Minecraft server Scandic.us. I've gotten enough donations and bought enough equipment to completely replace the computer it originally ran in over a year ago. I thought to myself, why not rebuild the original machine and run a lil' Tekkit server on it? That's how Scandic Inferno was born. Most servers I've found that fit my personal criteria are either down half the time, change too often, or have a lot of stuff disabled or restricted to donors. I'm a big fan of fair survival servers so this is what I aim to create. This server is up 24/7, unless it were to crash in the middle of the night. These are pictures of the spawn area. When you enter the server, read all of the info in the computers. Then, make sure it's day time and walk far away. You have 30 minutes of PvP protection and you start with a fairly decent starter kit that includes food to last you two or three days. Use a bed to set your spawn point which you can later access via the /home command. You can kill mobs to earn money, which you can later use to create your faction and claim land. Please understand that griefing and any kind of abuse against your person is allowed in this server and therefore it is not a server for the faint of heart. RULES: No hacking No combat logging No griefing spawn No spamming BANNED ITEMS: Everything from Equivalent Exchange (overpowered!) Quantum Helmet (for PvP balance) Triangulator (crash bug!) Forcefield Block Cutter upgrade (easy destruction of protected land) Balkon's Dynamite (easy destruction of protected land) * * IC2 dynamite and sticky dynamite are NOT banned PLUGINS: BookWorm Campfire Chairs Factions MobBounty PickBoat SofterLandings Tekkit Customizer WeatherRestrictions Thanks all who try it out! :)
  20. I'm pretty sure there's been debate over this subject several times. But I can't find any recent threads so I'm starting one. I don't want this to turn into a long debate. I just want to understand why anybody likes Equivalent Exchange. I think it's a fun tool to play 'god' in singleplayer, but it takes away all the fun from multiplayer. I think EE is too over-powered for Tekkit. I'm going to ignore the fact that it bypasses all protection and rollback plugins. I'm talking about the idea of the mod itself. Example: I know it allows one to make machines that create stacks of diamonds per day with minimal maintenance. I haven't done it myself but I had one player do it in my server in under a day so I have to assume it's not that hard. How is having an infinite supply of diamond so easily obtainable not a complete insult to the mechanics of the rest of the mods in Tekkit and Minecraft itself? I know you can craft diamonds from IC2's UU-matter. I have used mass fabricators but it's not as easy as EE's method. I'm not a big fan of economy but I've always had Essentials trade signs enabled in my servers for those who wish to trade items that way. Infinite diamonds kills any type of economy and I can't think of a counter-argument to this. Thanks for posting!
  21. Batch files (*.bat) are for Windows and DOS only. Switch to either Windows or DOS. Or OS/2 if you can find a copy.
  22. Re: [24/7][2.1.1][Quantum Gaming Tekkit Server][30 slots][Whitelist] IGN: VideoBoy Have you ever been banned: Not ever. What do you plan to do on the server: Travel far away, live on a farm... or a nuclear powered spaceship. What is your experience level with Tekkit?: I only started playing recently but I've picked up the basics pretty fast. I'm a seasoned Minecraft player (also server host) and I'm a technically inclined guy, so I was amazed by Tekkit. I've used Lua in the past for a variety of applications so I'm particularly handy with ComputerCraft.
