  1. With NEI disabled on the server, ONLY ops or anyone with permission to /give can spawn items. Technically it shouldn't happen with it on either. The reason anyone can use it if it's installed on the server is because of a severe bug.
  2. He said that when he eats something, the item disappears but the hunger bar goes down instead of up. Dafuq? ._. OP: ¿qué plugins tienes instalados?
  3. Español? Русский? That was a shit translation. ;_;
  4. Anyone with /give or /i will still be able to spawn items with the client-side NEI. If you have a creative server and want to keep /give then you need to set up an item blacklist. Someone else will have to help you with that one as I have no clue. :/
  5. Tekkit doesn't have TMI, it has NEI. Disable NEI server-side. It's got two known severe dupe glitches.
  6. Well... There's a very serious problem with CC. It's not a glitch or an exploit. I have it on my server because (luckily) nobody has figured it out so far. I'm not gonna say it here to not make the problem worse, but when some asshole posts the details in public many servers will crash. CC is one of my favorite mods as I've been playing with Lua before Minecraft even existed and I would hate to have to remove it. EDIT: oh and turtles bypass all protections. They can even break personal safes inside Factions claimed territory, at least since the version included in Tekkit 3.
  7. I also think it should be removed. We're right and you're wrong.
  8. Making an RP2 quarry takes a certain degree of skill and effort, where making a BC quarry is a matter of crafting it in a crafting table... RP2 will never replace Buildcraft. Personally I've already started working on my RP2 quarry but not everyone has the attention span or time to learn how to make one of them.
  9. Minecraft is too much like real life. Don't forget that those cutey little avatars are controlled by real people. Cooperation, working towards a "common goal", requires a lot of emotional effort from all parties. With every disagreement there will be resentment, and with enough resentment there will be anger, resentment, and nukes. Choose your partners carefully and COMMIT to the project(s) as much as you would commit to a real life project. Personally I don't waste my time, I just loot & grief. I wish you the best of luck, though, and I hope you get to show off something amazing soon. Post it here when you do. :)
  10. I can confirm this. Coal coke has not worked in steam engines since Tekkit 3 came out. It worked fine in my 2.1.1 server and it works on everything else, but not steam engines. I had a player report this on our first day of Tekkit 3 and I filed a bug report but nothing came out of it.
  11. Add a world border plugin with a radius of 1000 or 2000 so people don't glitch into the roof of hell and travel super far away to hide like kittens. ;)
  12. OMG! THAT'S SO FLIPPIN CUTE! I WANT TO JOIN YOUR SERVER! :'D
  13. What's this "ping" crap? I host my server on an American residential cable connection and I get a lot of players from the UK and Norway...
  14. Why not host it yourself? I'm hosting a 20-slot Tekkit server on a relatively crappy computer (dual-core Athlon 64 at 2.0GHz with 4GB RAM, $200 plus some spare parts) and a 10megabit connection shared with another server, and it only lags to around ~17tps when it gets full.
  15. Those are bulky and slow as worms. That's why they're called inchworm. Actually I've seen worms move faster. Oh and they cause tremendous amount of lag - 15tps on an otherwise 20tps server when the ship is moving. No good unless you're making a quarry, an elevator, or a drawbridge. Now those are cool.
  16. Woah... Okay. I feel dumb now. I must've been high last night when I made this so inaccurate observation. I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time. ;_;
  17. I don't use EE for philosophical reasons, but I noticed that these 2 items have the exact same recipe. How does this work out without a CT3 on servers with EE enabled?
  18. Umm... Launching a DDoS attack isn't a walk in the park. Just because someone rages and threatens to do it doesn't mean they have the resources to pull it off. You need a decent sized botnet to cause any real damage to a server, and that requires more skill than your everyday script kiddie.
  19. If you don't want to completely remove NEI, a genius called AlienX fixed server-side NEI twice. Look for his thread on these forums. I just disabled the mod because I run a survival server so there's no need for the server-side functions.
  20. Hook up several HV solar arrays to the fabby, then get a RP2 cobble farm to feed in scrap. You can make A LOT of cobble in a short time using only a few block breakers placed next to a infinite cobble source.
  21. If you want LWC on a Factions server, enable LWC integration so everything gets unlocked when land gets unclaimed. LWC is very useful in Tekkit because Factions 1.7.5 (the only version that works on Tekkit) does not allow one to specify custom inventory blocks, so anyone can still access iron/gold/diamond/etc. chests and any other non-vanilla block with an inventory. "Anarchy" means NO RULES, but hacking, exploiting and duping should always be ban-worthy. In the case of Tekkit, I'd add in a rule against lagging and/or crashing the server on purpose. If you can't handle gang rape, then anarchy servers aren't for you.
  22. Atom? trolololol I've hosted testing servers on my Aspire One, 1 player, laggy as hell. But then it's got Windows and that was before I replaced the shitty "SSD" it came with. You may have better luck with Linux.
  23. I read somewhere that it is disabled on smp because of bugs. If this isn't the case, is there a way to enable the recipe?
  24. I've made 2 changes to make the server more fun: Added the SofterLandings plugin for safer jetpack landings Enabled the /home command. Use a bed to sethome. Oh and I got a big donation today so I will be upgrading the CPU soon.
