  1. Perhaps he meant collectors? I used to get them mixed up at first. o.O
  2. That's what I've been doing for the lattest half of my BuildCraft career. I had an AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE attitude towards EE until I started playing Technic SSP. It's actually pretty fun if you're dead bored of doing the whole initial vanilla setup and then the intial IC2/BC setup because you've done it a million times and you want to explore other aspects of the mod pack; in my case I really wanted to focus on getting a Millénaire country, a airport (Planes mod & Zeppelin) and make an oil refinery which I had never done (successfully) before. I made a house of bricks and basalt without having to hunt down lakes to mine clay and quarrying a volcano. And I don't have to go on a long mining session when I need ONE diamond because I can just take my iron into a transmutation tablet. The problem is I have to hold myself back. The moment I want to get filthy rich, I just have to make a bunch of collectors. At that point I ruined the game for myself.
  3. It came out for 1.2.5 like a month ago. Sorry to burst your bubble, kid, but you're gonna have to wait a LONG time for everything to update. First Bukkit, then all the popular-ish mods, then the not-so-popular-ish mods, and finally when all the components are updated and relatively stable, the Tekkit team will begin to integrate them. This will take months so do not get your hopes up.
  4. And what's the point in having HV solars if you can make anything out of thin air with a collector and a condenser? XD You can also make shit out of thin air with a HV solar (or any other IC2 power source), a RP2 cobble farm, and a mass scrapbox deployer. Someone who wants pure balance should not only disable EE but everything else that creates items out of thin air (anything having to do with scrap). Solar panels and wind mills create energy out of thin air, but as long as you can't turn that into magic items, in my opinion they're okay.
  5. I always end up sorting my items the same way on every SSP world and every server I play... I start with one double chest to put all my nooby shit in. When it becomes too big, I make 2 more chests and divide my items as "building materials" (anything that can be placed on the ground), "organic items" (anything that is or was at some point alive), and "non-organic items" (everything else). The building materials chest always fills up with cobble so I eventually make a fourth chest for just cobble. After a while I have to divide the building materials further, so I make another chest for all wood-based blocks. When the other two chests start to fill up, I make a food chest to clear out the organic items chest a bit, and a "circuitry" chest to put all RP2, IC2, and BC items in to clear up the non-organics chest. How do you do it, forum? :)
  6. You can't stick a save from one mod pack into another mod pack. Even different versions of Tekkit have different block ID combinations. Sadly there's no simple tool to convert saves. There's a tool called Midas Gold or something like that but you need to know what every ID changes to, which is time consuming. For popular conversions (for example Tekkit 2 to Tekkit 3) people make patch files for Midas, but I have no idea what update you made.
  7. But I've seen trans tablets and alch chests enabled in loads of servers I've encountered in my travels... o_O Oh and thanks for the correction. I've only ever heard of the CT3/pstone bug. Never tried it myself. XD
  8. The Herobrine Mod was added in the latest patch. He steals your stuff and he loves complex machinery.
  9. Are you flippin serious? I was duping items on a server with my cheap CC disk drive and it made me feel like a pro hacker. Do all servers with EE enabled have these issues you mention? How is it acceptable? How can the admins sleep at night? Btw you forgot the CT3/Pstone dupe glitch.
  10. That log has several references to HackSlashMine. Rong forum.
  11. I do this with 6 lines of code, rofl. 1) Put computer next to reactor 2) Put a thermometer set to about half the maximum safe temperature next to the reactor and hook it up to the computer via a red alloy wire 3) Have the computer check the thermometer every second or so. If it's hot, shut down reactor by emitting redstone signal This would work with a Mark I or Mark II reactor. If it gets too hot, you may not be able to stop it like that. Personally I have a breeder attached to a large supply of ice blocks. Same steps as above, but instead of shutting down the reactor, it injects an ice block to cool it down.
  12. CB++ changes a lot of things... I've used it before and it works, but I wouldn't dare try it on a Tekkit server unless 500 people try it first and report green light.
  13. Impressive. Whatever you do, back up the world before you make it public. You will get griefed.
  14. On my server, pipes always show 'Connected Pipes: 0' but they seem to work fine anyways. :O
  15. 1) Remove the teleporter that doesn't work 2) Wrench the MFSU the wrong way and then back into the right way 3) Put the teleporter back & re-link it & try again If this works, answer one question: is the teleporter placed higher than Y-layer 128?
  16. >grown up married man >arguing on the internet >calling others immature >mfw I'm done here, bro. Let's stop now before we get kellered for derailing a thread into a feminism debate. Ciao. :)
  17. Wait, why is showing excitement for someone's presence taken as an insult? And I didn't know that fact about the mods' demographics. I thought we were all dorky boys with no lives... This changes everything. Either way I didn't mean it as an insult. @Rarity, we are all graced by your presence. <3
  18. Tekkit just replaces everything from minecraft.jar. ;_; Can you confirm that it works with just the other file? Just because it doesn't crash doesn't mean it's having any effect... :P
  19. That's what I was thinking too; he's installing it like a vanilla mod. I'm not gonna bother anymore. NoLagg does the trick most of the time and I have a beast of a machine. Also, don't be a white knight. You know you feel the same way inside.
  20. CoreProtect is good, but I've heard it doesn't undo damage to any of item ID 136 (micro blocks and other RP2 items) properly. Just disable all griefy items that bypass protections (EE explosives and tools, IC2 explosives, IC2 laser, and set turtles to not make a fakeplayer per-turtle) and get the custom WorldGuard by AlienX and WG all your stuff.
  21. Dude, just get more from here. It's free: www.downloadmoreram.com
  22. Is the MFSU full? Teleportations take a shitload of EU. If it works one way then it should work both ways. Make sure the MFSU is full.
