Use DisableCraft instead. You can specify metadata. :P

The single player server I'm designing in on is a pretty fast computer. Forcefield appears like twice as fast as my public server and I could still get through with a jetpack... XD

Every mod has three versions: - Single player version - Multiplayer version for vanilla Minecraft - Multiplayer version for Bukkit Tekkit needs the Bukkit version, but most mod authors only focus on the first two so we usually have to wait for another person to step up and make the Bukkit port.

Or install a zapper upgrade... XD

If you're gonna cheat, just /tppos inside. I bet the number should be lower (faster refresh) but that'll probably lag your server up. Just don't turn it off in the first place. The way I'm setting up my new base is using teleporters to go in and out. :P

Sadly the MFFS thread on the IC2 forums only contains info on the latest version which apparently has been revamped since the version Tekkit uses, so I have no way to find out what purposes these items serve. They do seem useful. Anyone got any clue? :P

I'm actually thinking of replacing Factions with MFFS on my server. You can just blow up another faction with a mining laser in explosive mode or nukes so it doesn't really do anything. MFFS is effective against both of those, 100% as far as my tests go.

Put another forcefield right outside of his. Like, touching his wall. Trap his ass. XD

I knew about the lighting updates, that's why I turned off timers. Guess I just gotta do a full sweep and shut every single thing down... ;_;

//remove items -1 removes every item in the world. Also, get NoLagg. Works fine on Tekkit. No more tick lag caused by morons who can't use pipes. Make sure to just enable the item stacking feature (in the config) though - I can't guarantee you any of the other features will work. Some of them even fuck up in vanilla last time I checked. :P

Well, this is a testing server. I've already restarted it several times to see if it would fail but the forcefield always remains. I guess I will put upgrades in the actual public version but I'm still wondering why it works. ;_;

My primary base is Lag Central of my server. My FPS drops from 75 to 15 when I'm there and half the people I /tpahere over there get disconnected for some reason and have a tough time getting back to spawn. I stopped all redstone timers to see if that helped but it didn't... I don't want to turn off all my machines (most of which are already motionless without the timers). What else could be causing the lag? :/

That's the thing - I didn't install the upgrade. What you see above is all powered by a single core at the top of the central tower with no upgrades.

This is how I do it. Simplified version; the actual one loads two different files and displays them on two different monitors. If you want the full thing, Paypal me $5. I made a giant 128x32x128 forcefield to cover my city. That's 48 directional projectors at the very edges, all hooked up to one core in the center, but the core is supposed to have a range of only 8 blocks. I'm happy that it works like this, but if this is a bug and it ever gets fixed, my city will be screwed up the sewage hole. Can somebody clear it up? ._. ^ skeleton of an ungriefable city. u mad? u jelly? u puddi? :-DDD

I don't think Tekkit is for everybody. Most of it will only be appreciated by supreme geeks. I own both a vanilla and a Tekkit server and only a few players moved to my Tekkit server when I introduced it. Some people are as happy as they can be living in a wooden house with two cows and a chicken. I live in a giant city with complex forcefield setups, scrolling messages on monitors and flashing lights, and tube spaghettis everywhere shooting shit back and forth for my viewing pleasure and I make it more complex every day. Start her with vanilla first. Like some people already said, she will never enjoy vanilla if she digs straight into Tekkit and she will hate you for doing that to her once she realizes it. Once she beats the mighty Dragon, then introduce her to Tekkit.
