I recently had to re-install my OS (crunchbang linux). Nothing new with the install, same as last time. I went and installed java 8, like I have before, but when I went to log into the technic launcher I got a message "cannot connect to minecraft.net". Any Idea ?

I have to say, I LOVE YOU. I cannot believe I was that stupid... I am so used to using Mint. Fedora is a different world. Thanks .

I am having issues installing the TechnicLauncher on Fedora linux. I have install java, and went through a bunch of troubleshooting solutions. I cannot seem to make it run. When I choose what program to start it with, I do not get the java program to run it. Im sure I am being extremely derpy about this. Does anyone know ?

24supercrazy, I have been looking for a good server to join. I am 27, which means I am not a kid, and im not looking to be a crazy person. I want to find a good server to be apart of and build some cool things while being apart of a good community.

Does anyone know how to set up a server for Attack of the B-Team in Linux Mint ?

Its always the simple solutions it seems. We always look over them.

I have kept my world files, and deleted everything else. Then I re installed everything else, and let it create a new world and ran everything and still got the error. So, I am guessing it is a mod issue. I should have never updated . I tried contacting bdouble0100 and most likely will not get a response. He is in communication with the developers so maybe he will see it and let them know... desperate attempt hahaha

Has anyone updated the Attack of B Team mod, and in return caused the error "the micro block is not install on this client. tile.iron. ????? My server is fine, but for some reason this error is not allowing me to successfully connect to my server. I have look all around for solutions, but cannot find this specific one.

So, my title says it all. I agreed to technic updating the attack of the b team mod pack, and now I get the error tile.iron microblock is missing. In return I get disconnected from my server. Obviously, this is a modpack issue not a server issues. Any suggestions ?

This post fixed my issues as well. As of tonight I clicked "yes" to technic updating modepack aka attack of the b team, I now am getting a server disconnect because the microblock tile.iron is not installed. How do I fix this, and how did a update screw me ?

I figured it out. I had to use my internal IP address. I wanted to use my external IP for obvious reasons. I have noticed issues with the morph mod. It works sometimes.

I added inbound/outbound rules for port 25565 for both TCP, UDP just to be 100% sure there is not issue with my firewall blocking. I also set specific IP,subnet, and default addresses for IPv4. I now added my internal IP to the server properties and used it when making the server. This seemed to of worked. Concerned using my Internal IP. Also, I am having issues with the server being allocated enough ram. Ranges anywhere from 7% - 21%.

I have also done that, but when I create the server and still put my external IP address in, it cannot connect. This is frustrating, because this is not that difficult and I have done everything possible to make it work.

I have port forwarded. I am having issues getting my server to connect. First attempt set it up and everything worked. However after stopping the server and shutting down my computer, and later starting everything back up, I could not get back onto the server. I kept getting ERRORS such as: [iNFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.6.4 [iNFO] Loading properties [iNFO] Default game type: SURVIVAL [iNFO] Generating keypair [iNFO] Starting Minecraft server on 68.81.135.245:25565 [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT! [WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port? I went and searched every possible solution. I looked to find why port 25565 was unusable, and couldn't find why. I added permissions for inbound/outbound, searched using netstat commands to see what could be using it. I allocated plenty of ram...which wouldn't help this situation, but I have just done everything I could think. Even tried deleting everything and re-installing. Even ended all java processes. I have spent a few hour tinkering around... Just lost at this point. I know a few people have run into this issue. I would appreciate any advice
