Both this launcher and FTB are blocked and bullied by Norton, I have even stumbled on one user who got "invalid credentials", as in, cannot log in.

You don't actually need to "downgrade", according to the Oracle site, java 6 and 7 can "co-exist" on your pc. So try downloading the latest java 6 update 65. I take it that since you use mac you need Apple's java, is this the linky for you?

Ugh, I hate Mac because the little knowledge I posess comes from windows. Java 7 has been upgraded to 51, update it. Might be that you need java 6 then, thing is that java 6 is not being updated any more. This tells me that problem lies with java... According to oracle Mac users should use both java 7 and 6. That they can "co-exist". Yet a few users gets these kinds of errors... ugh!

Sounds to me that something is missing in the modpack files. Delete the modpack you were trying to play - Big Dig? - and disable or uninstall your antivirus. I have a hunch that might be the bully here Edit. Also please update your java 7 to update 51

whoah wait. You got 3 javas installed? No wonder it pukes error. Uninstall them all, restart pc and pick between java 6 or 7. Just one, I don't know why you would need 2 or more when one java can do the job

Yeeaaah man! That launcher build 382 just happened. There's absolutly no evidence that the team made that. maybe it was the toothfairy with a bag of pixie dust who made the update?
