We need to know the java version, google or ask a friend who knows what it is. I doubt it, I'd recommend to make your own bug thread, just in case you have something else that we could pinpoint the error (antivirus, firewall). As for now, this is an internet connection problem. Get your windows command up and type the following setx _JAVA_OPTIONS -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

Any firewall installed? You might need to make Techniclauncher an exception for it. Not sure what else to tell, I've stumbled on this before, but on windows users. Please post the log, preferably between or paste it on pastebin and give us the link

Please post what OS you are using, google or ask a friend if you don't know. Also please post the error log, when the launcher does these kinds of things it creates an error log. Post it between quote tags or paste it on pastebin and post the link here instead. Found on Common Problems sticky

What modpack are you playing, Tekkit or Tekkit Classic? Rubber is from IC2 and Tekkit doesn't have that mod, due to mod dev retiring. Tekkit Classic has it, because it's still on MC 1.2.5

You need to unglitch it. It's a common problem with Alienware OSes. After you unglitched it it should run smoothly

One word of advice: if you have any further issues then please remember that your AVG antivirus is known to block downloads of modpacks. If you have that issue, uninstall AVG. Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials are recommended and dont cause the launcher to go nuts

If your issue is how to delete folders and backing up files, well apologies, but this forum is not really for people who have no idea how to use a computer. Take some time to read the manual that came with the computer you bought or google to help.

Only a 32-bit java and 32-bit OS limits you to only having 1 gig. Uninstall any java you have and get a new one

ok, try this: on the launcher window you see a cog-wheel button on the top right corner? Click it, you will see a bar where you can change the RAM the launcher is allowed to use. If you have enough RAM, try changing it between 1.5GB or 2GB.

That part bugs me. It spams on your error log over and over. Do you have a firewall installed? Does it allow Technic to connect through the internet?

My second question would have been if you can log in through the vanilla launcher, but since you already tried that.... There has been reports of a malware called "Relevant Knowledge" that causes a fuss with the launcher, could you please search on either .technic or .minecraft folders if there is one such file/folder.

Check if you have a folder called "Relevant Knowledge", either inside .technic folder or .minecraft folder. Or just use search on your computer

Try the vanilla launcher provided by mojang, if you can't log in through that then you are using the wrong username and/or password
