Hobbits land? As in, a custom modpack? Technic launcher is only for problems concerning the official modpacks = Technic made. Contact the modpack creator of hobbits land

Are you running any programs from your computer that requires constant internet while at the same time running Technic launcher? I'm talking about Skype, teamspeak, mumble, bitcomet, bittorrent, emule etc etc... Try closing any such programs, then try the Technic launcher

You are not the centre of the universe. People volunteer to help here, so either have patience or search the problem on the forum yourself if you're impatient. Then put it on pastebin and give us the link. What upgrade is your java 7? google or ask a friend if you don't know

I just took a few minutes to search this error on this forum. It doesn't seem to be fixable. It's basically a flood of users stampeding on the technic server, making your launcher hyperventilate and faint out. I don't know why I haven't had this problem, perhaps because I live in a different timezone than the U.S? The only solution thats been adviced: try again another time. Try spam-launching the launcher with the "Run as admin" 1-3 times, wait an hour then try again. If I ever stumble on a permanent solution, I'll tell.

I hope you mean 383, there is no 583. Not for a couple of years, atleast. Could you please check whatever constitutes a "Control Panel" and "Uninstall Programs" on your Mac and see if you have a Relevant knowledge installed?

Doesn't tell me anything. On your launcher window click the cog button on the upper right corner. What build is it? Again, doesn't tell me anything. As far as I know you could have downloaded java last year. Google or ask a friend if you don't know what you have

okay... I've got to ask you something you probably wont like: try uninstalling SFR. I think it may be causing this. I've heard of users who have used Norton before with the launcher, which is kinda like using a ticking time bomb, they never know when it will block the launcher. Edit. before you do that, could you please check in the Control Panel -> Uninstall Programs if you have a "Relevant Knowledge" installed"?

You're a bit confusing... the launcher doesn't exactly "use" java. The launcher connects to the game. Minecraft is built around java, the error that you get comes from the game. Did you try downloading java 6 yet? I would like to know if that fixes your problem

I don't use Mac, so don't ask too much from me. I know it fixes the upside down for every modpack that is caused only by Mac users.

Which windows? 7, 8 or XP? What java version? That's just bits Any Antivirus installed? Any error log? You can get the error log when clicking the cog button on the top right corner of your launcher. Copy and paste the content of the logfile when that error occured and put it inside or paste it on pastebin.com and give us the link Best solution would be to simply delete the hexxit folder on %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> modpacks Remember to backup any saves you have before doing that! But if that doesn't work, you will have to give us the information I asked for

I just noticed you have launcher build 378, the latest is 383. Delete the launcher and .technic + .techniclauncher folders - remember to backup your saves - then redownload the latest technic launcher you have java 7, 45. The latest is 7.51, uninstall what you have and redownload the latest After you done this, try running the launcher as admin again
