Custom Modpack having mayger problems please help
Munaus replied to argion's topic in Tekkit Discussion
this is Tekkit discussion. We discuss Tekkit (main) modpack here. Custom modpack discussions are elsewhere. Use your eyes and brain. -
you're missing something on the server title, OP. Read the Server Guidelines

Server board is where server advertisement belongs, nothing else. This is else Server owners should not be looking for you, no matter how special of a snowflake you believe you are you look for a server and contact its staff if they are interested in having an extra operator. "admin/mod too many times"

yes, search is broke. makes me sad aswell, since I can't search for old error lines I've solved in the past when I see them again
-
after you clicked "Yes", did you close that pop-up window and see an "Install" where "Play" should be on the Modpacks selection?

what made you think you can barge in on someone elses report and claim it as your own?

if you're looking for Tekkiteers then we have a pinned thread for you http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/113851-small-scale-recruitment-thread-tekkit/ all Technic packs have those pinned threads, if you're looking for private 4 people groups

you don't need to uninstall it. Just install a 64-bit. After you done that, start the launcher and go to Launcher Options and towards the Java Settings tab. There you can change which Java the launcher should use as for uninstalling software, you just need to find the Control Panel
-
the logs shows the same error line. You didn't set up the LegacyJavaFixer properly
-
ignore the staticloggerbinder-thing. It is irrelevant. Everyone gets it, including me, and we can still play the game. this however java.io.IOException: Unable to delete file: C:\Users\kids\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\hexxit\cache\qcraft-v1.0.1.zip is throwing a fail on Hexxit. the launcher is attempting to delete a file but can't for some reason. you said Hexxit worked fine? I see no errors related to Attack of the B-team or Tekkit. Did you even attempt to run those two packs? Delete the log file as it's becoming too huge. Close the launcher, start it again. Now run either Tekkit or Attack of the B-team, once. if it fails to load, post a new log
-
again, post the full log from a pastebin site. 3 lines from a log gives us no direction
-
Later I added dartcraft when you add additional mods then it belongs in the custom pack category. Custom pack discussions belong in Platform Pagoda Moved
-
did you copy the log ~after~ you attempted to run a pack? I'm not seeing any errors additionally, I care very little for any pack not made by Technic team. Contact the author of Pixelmon for tech help does any of the Technic packs - Tekkit, Hexxit, Attack of the B-team - work?
-
you have a 32-bit java installed, which limits the launcher to 1GB RAM max. you need a 64-bit java to increase it between 1,5 - 3GB
-
Error occurred during initialization of VM [B#301] Could not reserve enough space for 1048576KB object heap this is the error line that causes it to stop. How much RAM have you given to the launcher? Look it up in the Launcher Options and at the tab Java Settings

what modpack? post the full technic log from a pastebin site. - pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com
-
first check if the Mojang Authentication servers are up and running http://xpaw.ru/mcstatus/ make sure you don't have any security softwares that might block the launcher from connecting to Mojang servers. Antivirus, firewall, webproxy or netnanny - try to disable if any of these can cause this. Google for instructions
-
your modpack? this is a custom pack then. We don't address custom pack issues here, only Technic packs or issues with the launcher itself. when custom packs are involved its always the pack itself that is the problem. Post here https://technicpack.zendesk.com/hc/en-us or in Platform Pagoda with your custom pack issue
-
I will help you when you start following my instructions. 1) what did I tell you to do with that wall of text? 2) how did I ask you to post your logs?
-
Unable to launch [INFO] java.util.ConcurrentModificationException Zando, you need to google JavaLegacyFixer from LexManos and put the file in the mods folder of the modpack you wish to play. This error line has been addressed by Technic team on the Platform News months ago.

We have pinned threads for a reason, don't ignore them! http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/21261-small-scale-recruitment-thread/

If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> logs if you're on Mac: "User Name" -> Library -> Application Support -> techniclauncher -> logs
