  1. He tried igniting it without air at first yupp, but then realized that he doesn't have to once the upgrade is in place, but by that point he had already created an atmosphere around the gate. Keralis and Chim (cannot remember the others now) were both able to use portals without oxygene, so thats not the point here. It must be something different.
  2. hmmm. thats weird. It shouldn't matter whether there is oxygene or not. At least it didn't matter in any series I have seen so far.
  3. Have you inserted the dimensional upgrade? Thats the only reason (apart from wrong placed portal modifiers) I can think of.
  4. This will most likely never happen. The pack has been abandoned by the original crew (no videos for several months or officially finished series) and the current lets test version has never reached recommended or received further updates for bugs known already. What is more likely is, that generikb will finish fleshing out the succesor pack "Revenge of the B-Team" which will be quite different from this one how he hinted so far. Yet you can always add mods on your own and modify the pack to your liking.
  5. The reason it does that is, that Forge is not compatible with Java so far. Since all Technicmodpacks rely on Forge you will be required to use Java 8 which can be read on the technicpack starting page.
  6. I wouldn't start working around manually, since this is the reason which brought you into your situation in first place. I would follow this path: Start -> run ->%APPDATA% (if you are running a windowsclient) You should find a Folder called .Technic Go into that one and navigate until you find the modpack. If you have savegames which you want to keep along with screenshots copy them somewhere else, then delete the modpack completely. Once this is done fire up the launcher and reload the AOTBT Modpack. You should have everything good to go then. If it still doesn't work with the recommended Build I suggest you head for the tracker and follow the guidelines there to get help.
  7. Why would you want to download these files in first place? There are prebuild servers and clients on this website. I would trash the installation your have now and make a new clean one with the stuff from this site. Shouldn't give you headaches.
  8. Read the pinned post in this forum. Maybe you can find a solution there. If not head for the tracker (also explained there) and do as you are requested to get assistence. On a sidenote: The massive use of exclamation marks and excessive use of capital letters will not improve the likelyness of getting help ... more of the opposite.
  9. For some reason I have no clue what you are talking about, since you are giving no info. Apart from that ... check the pinned threads in this forum and follow the rules and guidelines .... or the ducks might catch ya.
  10. Oh mighty are thou, you ancient power of reading. Why don't you give it a try with the pinned threads in this section?
  11. Hmmm. I had this happen before as well. Usually a relog or a reboot of the server did the trick (its a dedicated machine). Other then that I can only guess that the machine ist overloaded and cannot process the info.
  12. Have you checked the common issues thread? If no ... shame on you ... do it now! Have you found the solution there? Bad Luck pal. Have you reported the problem on the tracker according to the guidelines? If no ... shame on you again ... do it then! You can find the relevant threads pinned in this forum, and the tracker link including rules and requirements can be found in the navigation bar on the top of this page. Java 8 man! Ring a bell? Read the old news then and act accordingly.

Does that ring a bell? If not read the past news.

You have virtually fogotten to post any background info to help you, and I am not that deep into witchery to have a crystal ball yet ... oh and the taglock is also missing
  15. What is your carrier? Does it use an IPv6 DS-Lite setup? In that case you are on the short end of the straw. Apart from that ... which information have you given out to the people you are going to play with, and what have you done to make the server reachable from the internet (except for the port forwarding). If you are not really familiar with router setup and service providing in these scenarios going with hamachi might be a solution ... though not the best one. Depending on your WAN speed you won't be able to satisfy more then 1 to 3 users with causing them real pain anyways.
  16. Most likely some issues with tons of mobs running around close by, or some machinery working like mad, homeless items in the dozen waiting for pick up ... possibilities are there enough. Without a closer description what is going on in the area its hard to tell. Have you activated cheats? If so port several chunks into a different direction (1024 Block should do ... but better not on the y axis if you cannot fly ) and see if the problem remains, once the visible chunks are loaded.

  18. There is a section where such things go and where you can find the pros that will help you ... its the tracker and you can find the link in the top navigation. You will also find instructions on how to post your problem and what to provide in order to help you.
  19. Well at first you might want to invest into a new keyboard, since your caps lock seems to be broken. As for the other case, head for the tracker (link above in the blue bar) and act according to the instructions given there. You will find help there.
  20. I see two possible solutions to this: 1. Once you pressed the login button, start bashing the dismount button at once. With a little (and I mean little) luck you will dismount and can log in normally again. 2. Have the server admin (or do it yourself if you have access to it) delete all player files of yours. That way the mount (ship) will disappear and you can log in normally again. Keep in mind though that this will delete the ship, your inventory and all associated attributes to your char.
  21. Connect a lavafabricator to the seared tanks using liquiducts, do some Pneumatic servo magic if needed, power the lavafabricator up and enjoy your constant lava supply in your TC Smeltery .... Ba-Dumm-Tis!
  22. How much RAM do you have access to? How much load is on your system while trying to start AOTBT?
  23. It depends. Keralis did a wonderful rustic/medieval series with some awesome buildings. Some of them have been the inspiration for my AOTBT builds. In AOTBT he worked with different styles from contemporary to futuristic and his haunted witch house is a great example of victorian architecture ... even though it will be a pain in the butt with all those microblocks *G* Let me help you out Melfice. This is BDubs AOTBT series:
  24. What OS do you use and which version (32bit or 64bit)?
  25. You could always add own mods to the pack, but have to keep in mind that you have to add it to client and server if you are running a dedicated setup. When playing Singleplayer adding the mods the clients is enough of course.
