  1. I wish I could tell you that I'm in the beta, but there's a restriction on that. I wish I could tell you that you're not exactly missing that much, because it's a beta, and not quite finished, but there's a restriction on that too. I *really* wish I could tell you that it'll require a beast of a machine for its beautiful graphics, but that's already listed on their site. Also, thread necro much?
  2. They are at the moment, recoloured diamond tools. But, everything ruby and sapphire is recoloured diamond. Ores, blocks, tools, etc. This is simply because ruby, sapphire, and emerald were intended as cheap diamonds, and that's how I'm using them. EDIT: Holy crap, forget everything I just said. That is fantastic, and we should all go with that. Secondly, the items are getting there, but in many cases, Faithful got it right, or at least close enough. I may have to change some vanilla items as well. RedPower adds paint; JohnSmith vanilla dyes are paints, so I have to come up with something better for the vanilla dyes. I've mostly skipped over items so far, with a few exceptions. I believe 0.8-1.0 are going to be items, refinements, things like that. Getting it to feel like a finished product, not a beta test. And kinglightson: you're totally right. I've updated those numbers to reflect items as well.
  3. I'll actually be starting work on that rather soon. Current IC2 is more a blend-in placeholder. It's coming though! Thanks for your support!
  4. @Industrial Miner: It's ready if you are! Please, use it, and tell me what you think. IC2 is done (for the most part) and so are RP2, EE2, and BC3 (well, what I could make of it). @Jordanspetcreeper: Yes, Forestry support is planned. Probably not by 1.0, but yes. It's in the works.
  5. Good question. Your answer has two parts. 1. This is a full release, it's just pre-1.0. 2. Of course. We aren't releasing new versions based on time, but on completion. The goal by 1.0 is to have everything, and that includes GUIs.
  6. Yes, I've noticed it too. However, I'm using the exact same sizes as other texture packs, so I believe that's an Optifine bug. However, I'll do what I can to fix that. Smiley on the WoBTF for you! EDIT: It's fixed here; apparently I was mistaken. It will be fixed in v0.8, or 0.7.5 if there are enough bugs to warrant a 0.7.5. Thanks, Korialstrasz!
  7. @FlipSide: The block or the item? EDIT: Nvm, I see them now. Thanks! EDIT2: New thread feature incoming: Wall of Bug Tester Fame! Here's how it works: point out a bug, a glitchy texture, etc. and you get a smiley on the WoBTF in the OP! ( i know, fairly lame reward, but better than nothing! )
  8. I have a hunch. Are they all IC2 items? I may have left the IC2 sheet shifted right and down one pixel. I'll investigate. EDIT: didn't see the next page. Seems my hunch is confirmed. I'll definitely investigate this travesty. Thanks for your continued support. :)
  9. Thanks, MC. I'll try to wrangle it back into shape, and it will be fixed by 0.8. P.S. Thanks for your support! It's cool to see people using this pack as their default.
  10. 0.7 released! Huge, massive shoutout to Glowstrontium, for the majority of RP2's textures! Notes: RP2 Control and Items aren't textured yet, but they will be soon. Thanks, and grab it in the OP! EDIT: LOL, ninja'd by Adler.
  11. It's over at MC Port Central. SimpleGuy: sarcasm, or do you really think so? It's hard to tell with you guys sometimes.
  12. Exactly what it says in the title. There's now a port of Mystcraft for Bukkit, so why not use it in the new Tekkit when it comes out? :)
  13. I actually am working on RP2 textures right now. but yours look cooler. I guess I'll texture RP Control. BTW: That's a really nice job you have there, but I am going to edit it and put Eloraam's green back on the pump and such. I really prefer it, because I know she'll have a reason for it in the future. (there always is) I'll be merging your textures and mine. I like what I've done in someplases, but in others, you've outdone me. EDIT: Looking at it more detailed, holy crap! Yours are a keeper. For sure. I will, however, be adding my alloy furnace. thanks for all the help, man! RP2 was taking me forever to get. And Iron chests have been done already. Sorry 'bout that. Those are, IMO, too similar to Dokucraft, and as DokuCraft is our primary competitor in the field of classy texture packs, I made some detailed JohnSmith-y ones. And MC, any criticism is welcome. Except "You update too slowly."
  14. energy condenser is the easy way. Try doing that without it. (ex: snowman->singularity compressor; zero ring->block breakers->singularity compressor)
  15. Again, yes. MacOS, with *minimal* effort, will install and run on 95% of PCs.
  16. What do you mean pirating? You can up and buy the Mac OS. It's like, what, 30 USD? That's cheap.
  17. I don't hate it. I never even said it was OP. I merely said it's easy. It requires some resources, but very little effort. Its main resource is time.
  18. I think I can, for sure. I'll work on it. :)
  19. A Mac is the hardware of a Dell for twice the price. Literally. And if you hate windows, (not a fan myself) you could use Linux. Or MacOS, even. (blech, walled gardens, and such)
  20. We're hoping so. and yeah, BC quarry is super duper easy, but it leaves ugly frames, etc. ComputerCraft turtles for that, or, if you insist on doing things the easy way, why not Equivalent Exchange? Doesn't get any easier than that. :)
  21. Well, I mean, 1. BC is ugly. I'll be searching for ways to offset that, but it is. 2. BC is like RedPower easy mode. Anything you're doing with Buildcraft, you *could* be doing much cooler, with RedPower 2. So, no matter how good or bad BuildCraft ends up looking, it's the wrong choice in the end. And, RP2 is being retextured at the moment. Up to 1.0, my goal isn't to radically change all the textures as much as it is to get the mods blending in with JohnSmith. Once it's playable and blends in, then I can start getting innovative with the textures. Right now, the goal is to get everything looking good.
  22. Sure you can, with 7-zip or similar. Opening any archiver should let you see and modify the contents of the archive.
  23. Kinglightson: that's because the vast majority of them didn't. They were just fine the way they were.
