  1. Is your network connection ok? EDIT: Also, from the logs, you're not running 64 bit Java. Multiple Java runtimes can coexist peacefully, so make sure to set Java 7 64bit as the default runtime.
  2. Meh. I've got a God I'd rather have you worship instead. :)
  3. No thanks, I'd rather not be worshipped. :P
  4. It's taking a while, but we're getting there. I think we'll be ready for first public release Quite Soon™.
  5. I've made a frame quarry, but building them above ground going down is a mistake. I build mine with an inchworm drive, going at y 13 horizontally. :D
  6. He means use Technic, not Tekkit. Technic is deigned for single player, while Tekkit is for multiplayer.
  7. LOL. I don't like ComputerCraft: I prefer RedPower Control. Lua is not my specialty, whereas I can handle FORTH quite well.
  8. Love me some Micecraft. Only mod to add 27 new cheeses!
  9. I consider myself both an alchemist and an "Enginer". I love techmods, (they're great) but hate stripmining. So, EE for the win.
  10. I prefer RedPower to plain ole Buildcraft, but Logistics Pipes are better than RedPower. That said, RP tubes are the most cost efficient, as they do a better job than the BC pipes.
  11. pulse, you lying bastard. There are no such things in vanilla.
  12. I love all sorts of pointless arguments. They confirm in my mind the stupidity of the human race.
  13. FFGF: Firstly, yes. It is, I thought it's a suitably old-school wrench for JohnSmith. And JohnSmith, is a 32x texture pack. High res, but not enough to clash with Minecraft's blockiness.
  14. What you could do is just load up your old world, and explore new chunks. You don't even have to go that far(usually) to find new chunks. Or, if you're man enough (or woman, don't mean to be non-PC), use MCEdit to copy your base and paste it.
  15. They could keep both. Technic would be based on vanilla SMP, and could include Mystcraft and such. (mods that aren't in any way Bukkit compatible) Tekkit would be the same Tekkit we know and love. (these are just suggestions, of course, but it could happen)
  16. System to automatically craft minecarts, pass them into a mob spawner's output area, and cart the mobs to their deaths?
  17. Thanks, I was going rather slow, but apparently, people like what I've done, so I'll be doing more. :P
  18. The machines will continue to be similar, especially IC2. IC2 will be based on Faithful32, with only minor changes at first, but eventually I'll get around to making more oldschool-looking machines, with corner braces and stuff.
  19. Hi folks! Just wanted to give you some preview screenies of some of the things I've gotten to. BC engines, for example, along with the first stage of IC2. http://imgur.com/a/6IvkA#0
  20. Neowulf, mobs do spawn on pressure plates, both wooden and stone. It's vital to monkeyfarm's Mobs On Demand mob spawner.
  21. Velard: it's nowhere near playable atm. I'm about 25% to 40% done with converting IC2 to a darker set of textures. BC and RedPower are where the real JohnSmith-ness comes in, as IC2 looks fairly out of place even on default textures.
  22. That's correct, Ezio. Also method names and variables.
