Launcher Options > Open Logs > Most recent log of the day when you last tried. Use pastebin or ubuntu pastebin for the log.

Check your dependencies.

Adding the launcher log would be a good start. Use pastebin or ubuntu pastebin.

I checked the modpack, I downloaded the modpack, I did not have the issue you described above, it worked fine. Well, until it started hitting missing dependencies, like Forestry (atleast version 5.7.0.214 required).

Actual modpack name would be helpful.
