    You'd be wrong, IDED. The armour is in, but it has no crafting recipe. If you want it, you'll need to spawn it in. I don't know about knives though. Most likely the same story.

    Don't know how long before any framerate issues are going to be bothering me, but I installed the mod that introduces clouds and city lights. Good gods, that's pretty. EDIT: Apologies for the double-post.

    The only thing I know to do is try again. Also try with your firewall and anti-virus TEMPORARILY turned off. It may be interfering in some way. If that's not it... try serving it dinner instead of lunch?

    It's possible some recipes could have been changed, but as far as I know there's no Invar or electrum explicitly needed. Could also be an alternative recipe.

    It's a 9x9x9 sphere of the things. That's a LOT of them. And if they're all active, they can put a big strain on your system.

    There's a mod called Volleyball included with AotBT, and I have no idea what it does. It's not mentioned in the modlist on the website, and spawning and placing the court master in the world simply leads to a crash. Anybody got any idea what's up? Remnants of a mod that was ultimately removed?

    Yeah, I'm seconding Turgle's suggestion. Use a lower resolution. 128x is extremely heavy on your PC. Try 64x or even 32x.

    As far as I know, there is no alternative. If you really don't want to cheat (too much), create the sugar charcoal, and exchange that for the caramel. You'll have burned fuel, and technically you should have gotten the caramel anyway.

    Problems like these go on the tracker. In short though, update your Java to 1.7. Uninstall Java 1.6.

    Looking at the word "beating", I'm gonna go on a limb and say you need a heart. Don't know whether this is a demon or creeper heart though. I haven't tried the Witchery mod yet. Does this wiki help?

    They're relatively expensive, but for some obsidian and glass you can have pretty big tanks thanks to OpenBlocks. EDIT: Four obsidian and 5 glass panes, to be precise, gets you two tanks. Which seems fairly reasonable, really. Each tank holds 16000mB. Which I think is 16 buckets, unless my math is completely off. Which it shouldn't be. Metric system, and all.) But since it's modular, they're pretty easy to expand. It's may not be an improvement, but they look pretty neat.

    Oh, yeah. Pumps. Well, I'll give you that one, for early game liquid "production", but mid/late game, there's machines for that as well. ;)

    IndustrialCraft is dying. Stop trying to keep it alive. It's okay to let go. And between MFR, Project Red and TE, Buildcraft is mostly replaced. So, no need for that either. The only thing missing from Buildcraft, off the top of my head, is the ability to automate building.
