I'm stealing this from someone else, because I can't be bothered to type it all put, but it's how I did it. "To get technic/tekkit/yogsbox/magic launcher running on the right GPU, open the Nvidia Control Panel. Go to the "Manage 3D settings" section. Pop over to the "Program Settings" tab. Click the "Add" button. Browse to java.exe. The location will vary depending on your OS and java version. On my 64-bit system with Java 7 it is: C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe Where it says, "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program", select "High-performance NVIDIA processor" instead of the default "Use global setting (Auto-select: [...])" option." If you don't have Integrated Graphics, it won't work, but you'll have the FPS boost already, so don't worry.

I just stay in this little sane corner of the Internet and hide. Quite honestly though, if someone said "OMG U PLAY TECHNIC U R NUB" and banned me from something, I would thank them for letting me know how much of an arsehole they are before I did anything I would miss. I rarely play Technic/Tekkit now(I use the Launcher though - Custom modpacks rule!), but there are probably some people who would still take offence from the fact that I've played it. The simple fact is that they aren't worth my, or your, time. Just ignore them and have fun like games are made to let you do.

You might not need to, unless you have Integrated Graphics. Of so, just set your Nvidia card to the default graphics in the Nvidia Control Panel for Java. I can post a more detailed walk through, but there's no point if you don't have integrated graphics.

Tekkit servers generally need Tekkit clients.

It has plenty to do with Java. Making my Java use my graphics card made a huge difference for FPS. His graphics card would be able to run Shaders fine. Chances are the problem isn't here though. Are there any crash/error logs(There will be one even if it doesn't report it - it's just how Forge works) we could look at?

So did Mystcraft and Xycraft get readied yet?

Found the config option. Set B:terrainnether in Symbols to false. This disables Cave Worlds, and should make Mystcraft safe to use. If any other symbols cause server crashes, I'll try and track them down. Hope to see Mystcraft re-added now

Xycraft, or Mystcraft? Mystcraft shouldn't be readded yet, but I'm close.

If I figure this out right, we can just mine a Mystcraft age for Xycraft stuff. It is readded already, right? EDIT: It's definitely possible, I just need to isolate the correct option. I managed to disable it by disabling everything. I may not be able to completely remove collateral with this, but it should still be better than nothing.

That's a shame. Perhaps it has a backup system...

I'm not sure. is Xycraft really that important? It may look nice, but it could be worse... Andrew, are you on Windows 7? I am, and the system seems to make backups whenever a major operation such as a program install or system update happens. Perhaps you can restore the server back to a point not too far before.

Well, it's either that or no Mystcraft. Personally, I'd rather have Mystcraft without Cave World than no Mystcraft at all.

Just so you know, I may have found the problem and I'm working to resolve it. It all comes down to finding the right config option, but after a few minutes of testing, I've determined that the Cave World symbol is the root of the problem. Seems to run fine without them, so I'm checking out options in the config so we can have everything but Cave Worlds.

Is Java actually using your graphics card? You may need to change the settings in the Nividia Control Panel.

That's a different problem, don't hijack people with other problem's threads like that. Go use the search bar, and if that doesn't work, make your own bug report.

Well, unless the block IDs have been mismatched, xycraft appears to have disappeared from the server. Well, at least all my stocks of Xycraft materials are missing(Including placed blocks), but nothing else is.

Ok. What about Xycraft? I have a feeling that we might have to roll back the server for that one, since all the Xycraft stuff is gone. And there's a LOT of Xycraft.

There are no redstone blocks. The mod seems to be missing... Also, don't double post. Seriously, we get the idea. No need to spam the forum.

Andrew, I believe that Xycraft is missing from the current build of the modpack server. There are a hellva lot of holes in my base, and my once almost-filled Xycraft chest is empty. I think that's what added Redstone Blocks.

They're part of Minecraft I think. I've crafted them fine, make sure you're using 9 redstone in a crafting table.
