Re: ۞ TekkitCraft ۞ [48 SLOTS PUBLIC] [Tekkit 2.0] [PvP/PvE] [Multiverse] [Towns] ++ I know im failing updating the main post, i kinda have to use all the spare time to fix issues, like dissabling dispensers (i guess not many knows why, but Tekkit added a mod that made me have to, etc) We arent using whitelist, its just to log on, no apps needed! Also, hopefully, we get some letsplay going from the server, to show the life on a SMP server, that has alot of ppl on it, that arent a part of the series like ppl normall are!

Total slots is no 64. All this will be updated into the original post in just a while, along with alot more updates on stuff like EE etc.

Right now, we cant support more than 48 players, due to the nature of Tekkit, and how intense it is. But at the next upgrade, we will be able to support alot more players. And still, we wont ever use whitelist, we dont belive that its something even worth using time on. There for, no need to apply for anything. We have a basic rule: If you can do it, its prob legal. If you cant, there is usually a reason for it! We dont belive in a ton of rules, we instead just prevent those issues from ever happening, POWER TO THE PLAYERS!

Its just to get the armour and weapons on: Whenever a town falls to ruin, it becomes wilderness, and its not protected anymore!
  10. Re: Is there a way to properly protect an area/chunks/spawn ? This has been an issue for a while, as as far as i can understand, its somehow CB related. We tried Worldguard, and Towny with the released Tekkit 2.0 build, and we have the same. I honestly think most servers have the issue (and if they fixed, they prob arent tellling bcouse they dont wanna contribute with fixes for the community ...)

And, we are atm maxed out (been for a while now), As it is right now, we are considering opening up for more slots, but we wont do it just now. Its a matter of keeping it lagfree (we usually needs to do a restart every 24h atm, and we have also added some slots where donators are reserved, so they can bypass the que)

  16. http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,2961.0.html Right before the crash, you should see a certain player log on, with coords, thats the area that you have issues in. If noone logs on, and it happends "at random", its most likely near ur spawn, so whenever someone goes and load that chunk, that issue starts.

This have several purposes, but mainly to let ppl play, and idlers not getting an advantage over others. Also, we have reserved slots for donators (limited amount) at 40 players, we are considered full. Other stuff, like mobs, breeding them etc have also been resolved, without it making any more stress for the server. Mobs are still "rare", but we never claimed that the server would be "easymode". On TekkitCraft, you need to work to get to your goal!

We will run 2.1 test to enshure that everything, so we dont get unexpected crashes. We dont have freebuild, its a survivalserver, where we use Towny to protect land. Here is a link (end of the post) to how some of the basics of towny works, recorded on our server. Towny is pretty advanced, but it also gives the best landmanagement out there that players can controll themselfes. Its not in our nature to let the server dictates what players are to do, we prefer freedom (on the cost of removing bugs and sometime nerf some stuff). As for the economics, all players starts off with 230 Tekkits (the currency we are using). Creating a new town costs 200 Tekkits, and it has a upkeep of 5 Tekkits per RL day (here its REAL important to deposit money into the town bank, or else it falls to ruin and becomes wilderness. As long as its a town, its safe land (unless perms are messed up by the mayor of the town). As for the rest of our eco, its still at its beginning. For now, the only way to make money is to sell Dark Matter to the server at /spawn, but we will also add a more easier way, for new players (it will ofc be scaled towards the Dark Matter). For the rest of the eco, players set the costs of items using ChestShop. Us as admins really dont want to tell how much stuff is worth, thats up to supply and demand from players.   25. Re: Bugs found in Tekkit 2.0 PEX is a permissionsystem, like all other, based on nodes. It also comes with an addon called modifyworld. With modifyworld you can ban ppl from having items, you can dissable items to to interacted with (rightclick), dissable usage of 1 item onto a specific item, etc etc. Its pretty powerfull, and with it, you can controll almost anything. One example of a node we are using in PEX with Modifyworld is - -modifyworld.item.use.27526.on.block.* This prevents all rightclicking with a philosoferstone in air. We did that becouse the stone has a longer range on transmuting block than a player can punch, so Towny (our main protectionsystem) wont stop that usage. Beside item use, u have item have, item interact etc etc. I recommend it if you are aware of issues that you want to be able to stop, without ruin to much of the gameplay.
