  1. Upgrade the server, like bigtime. A item like the flow of time, is damn serverheavy, especially with several ppl online. Tekkit is allready pretty serverheavy, and if you run it on basic settings, well, u will get alot of CPU usage, and issues. Tekkit IS NOT leightweight, by far, its a real hard mopack to run in regards of usage. You cant rent a server, that say u can have X amount of players online etc, they base theyre stuff on Vanilla, and Tekkit is far from that.
  2. Did you try to set it to peacefull, to remove all mobs? U might need to do /butcher -a after doing it, to delete current mobs. Also chunkgenertion will up the CPUload alot, a border for a map is highly recommended. Im not 100% shure how much a map would take up, but we got a 15000x15000 border, and our map is 2 gig large. Check how large ur worldfolder is, that should atleast help some to see if u should have ungenerated chunks.
  3. The 2 common reasons for high CPU-load is ComputerCraft and/or mobs. If its an issue u should try toggle those on/off (toggling CC off will break placed items in regards of the mod).
  4. Ok, lets get this stripped all down to basics, did you REINSTALL the mods, with configs and everything, or did you use settings that you had stored from before? Or did you just delete the worldfolder, replaced the jarfile and then started? It actually matters if u deleted mods, plugins aswell in this regard, not just deleting the Tekkit.jar and worldfolder. The thing is, if at any point any mods have been altered, it CAN create issues with the client. It appears like a clientissue, but the fact is, a client wont have all issues untill the client is forced to download the chunks it sees, then is were 95% of clients get issues, and DC. The most common issue is tanks that got bugget all they way back from Tekkit 1.1.4 (some from 2.0 aswell). And when you say "deleting the world", you are actually deleting the entire map from the server? Im again sorry for asking all the Q, but its really needed, this is really a step by step process to sort the isssue. I kinda have some ideas of what it is, but without 100% correct info, i cant help.

  8. Added a section about Towny, and basic settings. As i need to run, ill edit it later on, and make it look better and add some more unimportant stuff when i get time. If anyone want to improve the look of it, just post it under here, and ill just copy the code and add it :)
  9. Ill tell howto fix towny vs Tekkit in the post i got here thats stickyed when i get to it. Towny will infact be one of the first stuff ill cover there, since landmanagement is pretty important for any SMP servers.
  10. It seems related to any item trying to withdraw from the condensor. I totally forgot about the tubes, they act the same was as the pipes basicly :)
  11. I saw some ppl saying that retrying it eventually solved it. Also, if able to start fresh, delete it ALL, and reinstall.

  13. So you basicly wiped the entire server, with mod, maps and all at the same go? U didnt mix in stuff, like importing a map, playerdata etc when reinstalling Tekkit? Again sorry for asking the same Q over again, but sometimes just a small change can do alot of harm. Did you try to goto the worldfolder - playerdata and delete ur playerfile? Remember, u CANT be online when deleting it (that means just dont start ur client when deleting it). Does that help? Also, for future reference, goto the serverlog, and write down the coordinates that you log onto (it should say so whan you try to log on). Are others able to go to the same coordinates? Ur correct, it is clientsided in the regards of wha crashes. This isnt a serverrelated chrash. Try to get ur playerfile deleted as i said. Then when (it should work) are able to reenter go to those coords, just 300 up in the ait (remember to be in creative and flying). If that dont crash you, im pretty shure that you have the tankrender issue. Please test that.
  14. Get someone else to log on, and tell him. Mail him, etc. If there are no way of communiction, well, what do u do the next time issue happends?
  15. If you dont use any tools that are capable of rollbacking playerevents (assuming u did the block-place fix), this is hard to fix. You will need to fix it using MCedit
  16. Might be a dumb Q: But is this related to if you try to play Tekkit in SMP, or joining a server? You seem to have amissmatch, and according to the timestamps, it seems like you are doing something, eighter playing SSP with it or connection to a server. [09:49:08] [sEVERE] [MD5 Mismatch] File '\launcher\technicssp\modpack.yml' has md5 of '3cd6a46355959f7a8fdec0def913df1a' instead of '38cc8b4c2d775fafd60e7adb4f4943ab' This was an error when 2.0 first got released where the client wasnt matching the server files. Edit: I know the line say SSP, but im still asking Edit2: Start the client, and when you get the bug, force the client to close, dont try to do anything. Then go to you logfolder, and find the latest log, post that. If it say the same, try the same step a few times, it sometimes dont log all errors for some reason. Several logfiles might help out alot more here, the _0 isnt always showing whats needed.

  19. Re: Server appears not to be sending chunks to client. Wooden on condensor makes the server lag out, and wont crash the client untill a while. We had the same, i sometimes could walk/fly around forever and only see those blocks. Also he never stated anything about other being able to log on. Are you able to log off, and log on when this happends? If not, im 99% shure its the issue of wooden + condensor. Edit: After rereading the OP, im 99,99% shure its that issue. Its due to how the server is overloaded, it DC ppl, but the real server itselfe dont crashes. You cant prevent this if dont dissable condensors, or u use time on a testserver etc that u got o remove the faulty items in Q.
  20. Re: Server appears not to be sending chunks to client. U prob have a issue with someone using a wooden pipe on a condensor. If this isnt near /spawn, its fixable as long as you have some sort of rolbacktools that can rollback 30ish min from the time it first happend. As long as whatever conflicted chunk isnt loaded, u wont crash, but asap u load it, well, boom, GL HF! If you dont have the proper tools to search for the issue, u are kinda forced to restart the map. If dont wanna go check the map with an editor, and see if u cant find any collectors with a wooden pipe to the m ... (that could take some time?)

  23. I feel its time to start to get more active on this, so im starting by adding links to the plugins that this "series" will cover. I will at all time just edit the first post with info, and leaving a reply to say ive added stuff. And for those thats wondering, ill cover almost everything from bypassing landprotection, dupebugs, clientcrashingissues, servercrashing events, and howto fix them if they happend. Not all we be covered straight away (i have my own server to attend and RL tried to take some time aswell). Since I am a real fan of "communitywork", I hope to sometime replace them uglylooking links with clickable pictures (yeah, i need the pictures as im crap with that stuff). I also hope that ppl wont just ask questions like "X is making issues, fix please!!!#!!#¤¤!" Thats not the idea of this thread. Having a Tekkitserver should be looked on as being given a tool for basic, where a owner/admin set ut theyre server in regards of what suits them best. We have a pretty large server (40+ players during weekdays) and we belive that rules arent needed, its just up to the server to set theyre shit ur correctly!

  25. No sorry, but I will cover enough basics so that ppl can create theyre own PEX-file in regards of what they want dissabled and not. Ill also include this tutorial with Towny Advanced (playercontrolled landprotectiontool) and LWC (locking of items to others cant enter it)
