  1. not anymore I can't. I killed it when technic 6 came out. It's not that difficult to set up though. I just put 2 quarries right next to each other after setting land marks as far apart as the lasers would go.
  2. it seems like an unnecessary step to create a basic resource. diamonds are useful and all but turn on a flower and by the time you get done with another task you'll have plenty.
  3. you can add a chest with items in it for the user as well.
  4. A condenser can create any item that has EMC. both obsidian and diamond have EMC. why the automation?
  5. Even with only 5 chambers, the power generation is ridiculous so don't let that discourage you from an awesome CASUC.
  6. I'm not sure if condensers can make uranium cells but if they can, you should be able to make a completed automated SUC reactor. I have plans to work on one since I'm not too familiar with RP tubes. and will post a blueprint in the mega thread when i'm done.
  7. Don't stop. that looks really good. I like simple packs.
  8. Re: Common Problems (And their solutions) you need to use the jar instead of the exe.
  9. mkdir %appdata%\.techniclauncher\rtemp cmd /c start /#PRIORITY java -Xincgc -Xmx1g -jar technic-launcher.jar worked just fine for me.
  10. Re: Automated obsidian to diamond creator. You know, you can extract obsidian from a condenser into the crucible. And with a Mk3 relay and collector it should build fairly quickly.
  11. No problem. I'm also a pretty good cook.
  12. In addition to crucibles and pipes full of crap causing lag, there was an nvidia driver that screwed up HDD read/write. I don't remember the version though. and a recent version of utorrent that just raped I/O when active. both have since been fixed so if either of those are in play it might be prudent to update.
  13. it's a specific crash. It won't auto close the client and in the error report it will tell you what block id is being used by what.
  14. put the mod zip in the mods folder in .techniclauncher\technicssp. start minecraft. You should get an error that says the block ID is already used. Close MC and go into .techniclauncher\technicssp\config if the mod actually installed, you should have a new config file named mod_whatever.cfg or modname.txt open the config file and there should be a line that says ID=### change the ### to something that isn't currently being used. You can use NEI with "show unused blocks" just type garbage into the search bar to show only unused ID's.
  15. If you try to allocate more RAM than your machine has available, it defaults to 256MB. Also, you shouldn't need to allocate more than 1 or 2 gigs for SSP. Overallocating can result in lag spike and other performance issues.
  16. Would you also help us learn how to configure and admin the server with things like permissions and whatnots? we've been researching some hosting so we can publicize our server. Right now it's just running off one of our members computer and his ISP has refused our SSH connections so we can't do any kind of maintenance.
  17. the source is on github. I think it's a feature they plan on adding anyway. If you come up with something, I'm sure they'd appreciate the help.
  18. You can use WinSCP SFTP client to transfer the files you need. daddycheese is also pretty cool. put in a ticket and they'll help you install mods.
  19. delete your %appdata%\.techniclauncher\technicssp folder and run it again. it'll reset everything to default. Don't use the ID resolver mod. You'll need to manually config the block ID's to something that isn't being used.
  20. pretty much any decent host. daddy cheese and mossy cobble are also pretty good hosts.
  21. your argument is invalid.
  22. The fun part is turning these machines into factories to produce the more difficult items.
