  1. I know last night the servers were down. I was hoping to get online today, so I checked the status and saw this: Tried to log in, and nothing. http://imgur.com/a/rlF3K#0 Two pictures of my server being down and the minecraft.net website saying they're still having issues. Are the servers still down, or should I start troubleshooting my setup? Maybe they didn't pay their bills...
  2. You should have posted this in the Tekkit bug boards. Try updating your driver and do a clean install of both your Java and Technic Pack
  3. The best thing you can do if you want to save progress is to put the saved folder in a separate folder or on a flash drive.
  4. As far as I can tell, it's a different variation of this: Opening the .exe does nothing, or flashes a loading icon, or says "checking launcher version" then closes. This is a Java issue. The most common cause is using 32 bit Java. If your Operating system is 64 bit, make sure you update to the latest 64 bit version of Java. Links on www.technicpack.net. If no matter what you do, the exe just doens't work, go to your .techniclauncher folder and there should be a .jar in there. If not then download it from www.technicpack.net and use that. Read further up the list for how to determine the bit version of your OS or JAVA. Mixed with (I think) a little of this: I've tried everything but I still can't get it to work with my 32 bit OS. Not sure what to tell you. A temporary fix could be to use the .jar instead of the .exe which seems to work for most people. If we manage to isolate a common cause to 32 bit OS issues then we'll update with a real fix. I believe that the problem is being caused by some unknown link between the users encountering the problem. But it's been very difficult to try to establish what exactly is shared between people with this problem. Many people get very hostile when we tell them they are either a. breaking the rules or b. haven't provided enough information. The .jar downloading as a .zip seems to be an IE issue. It could be that people are downloading an incorrect version of Java, or downloading a bad file. I'm hesitant to believe that the problem is because of the actual launcher or the website. I recently needed to have a clean start to fix an issue logging into my server, and I haven't had this issue.
  5. And this is how a bug report and responses (from sane, able-minded people) should be I am not home at the moment, are the servers up? Guess not?
  6. If you really need help, you should post in the correct mod pack bug board with the correct information. Generally that's how you get help.
  7. Grindle should join our fun in off topic.
  8. Any particular reason you bolded that question?
  9. I won't bother telling you to make your own bug report. Read the link, use the search feature to find similar issues, try the solutions provided.
  10. Not a meme, but here is my contribution: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/kitty-jail.27023/
  11. That's why I linked the thread silly
  12. But only temporarily, hopefully whatever issue is happening can be fixed with the update :)
  13. Proof. Help occurs on this forum. :)
  14. So you know, we do not have version 1.3, the current version is 1.0.1.3. We need to know which windows you are using. Also, read this, it should help: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/common-problems-and-solutions.10851/
  15. Need a bit more to go on here, I don't know what the problem is you are having.
  16. I would like to credit OG Chubs for providing my husband the inspiration for this.
  17. Maybe they think I'm bridezilla?
  18. When I was 12, the only internet connection we could afford was dial up, and floppy disks were still a feasible form of portable data. But I suppose I probably would have acted in the same way, if the page ever loaded..
  19. You said it, not me. All of this makes me very happy One of the people's favorite mods I might add. Most of us < 2+1 Jay? Also, I might add, Jorcer and I seem to be the target of a lot of hate lately. Something in the water?
  20. Looking at the dates of the posts in this thread, someone needs to unplug it and put it out of its misery.
  21. I have said COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS (yes the sticky) so many times I've decided this morning, it needs an acronym.
  22. Try not running other programs while you're playing (Firefox, Skype, etc. can be very resource intensive) Also try turning your video settings down
  23. He is one of those people who honestly believes that the temporary solution found in the CP&S is the word of God and should be used for every problem as a permanent fix.
