The only reason so many people have Norton: a free trial period comes on most (or all) windows computers. It's really nothing that great.

Or better yet, if you find the solution in another persons post, tell them by simply stating "I had the same/similar problem. This worked for me [insert solution]" Otherwise, make your own post and wait for us to berate you for not reading the common problems and solutions thread.

You can reply to more than one post per posting of yours.

Uninstall ALL versions of java you have. Delete your .techniclauncher folder. Reinstall and redownload the proper versions of both(for your computer), and disable AVG. All of that is basic troubleshooting solutions that you would have know if you read the stickies.

You forgot to remind about downloading the correct version of Java.

None of those versions and systems are accurate.

You need to manually (via the file in .techniclauncher) remove mods. Go into the .techniclauncher and delete the files.

Put the log on pastebin and post this link please I'm fairly certain that minecraft 1.1 is no longer supported, but I could be wrong (wait for someone smarter to confirm or deny)

64-bit OS needs 64 bit Java. 32 bit OS needs 32 bit Java. Update your launcher.
