  1. Welcome! It's incredible what a little bit of digging can get you as profits when looking for a computer. See this performance laptop at 4000 bucks? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834158979 I got another laptop, literally a third of the price, with better specs all around! Also, don't worry for school work, even the shittiest notebook can use Microsoft Word or Powerpoint without problems.
  2. Wow, I should share this to everybody, even if they don't care and it clogs up their page and it annoys the hell out of them! And then I should take an Instagram picture, followed by sharing a "Share for Heaven, ignore for Hell" status to complete my Facebook routine. And after that I wonder why it makes weeks I haven't went on FB.
  3. But, will it save a kid from cancer? I don't like posts that don't save kids from cancer.
  4. Come on, I could have forgave you if you could have at least done that right, but seriously, challenJe? Really? Sorry, that's more than I can take. I'm going to cool down in a pool of lava with my quantum suit.
  5. Welcome! I've personally got a liking to nuclear reactors, but water strainers are good too, I guess. :P
  6. Oh, of course. I personally think that a 17.3 screen is overwhelming, a 15 inch is still Very nice (Capital letter) to look at, and it'll make him economize a lot, making space in the budget for better hardware all around, including a respectable video card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215390 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246323 Those are a far better offers, if you ask me.
  7. Yeah, there's already 4chan for that anyway. And you can see the result too...
  8. The only important lines for what interests us are : 2nd generation 2.3GHz Intel® Core™ i3-2350M processor, 6GB DDR3 SDRAM Intel HD graphics 3000 640GB 5400RPM hard drive Well, this isn't a "great" computer. I think it'll be alright for Technic if you can tweak the settings properly, since I've seen it run well on far shittier hardware. But I'm not sure about Day Z. Intel Core i3 isn't extraordinarily recent, but 6 GB of RAM is satisfying, I guess, since many very good PC's don'T have more than 8GB. The most worrying is the Intel graphics 3000 video card. This is an integrated video card, IE a bad one. It may even handicap the gameplay for Technic. I think he should at the very least try to have a real video card if he wants to play video games with this computer. Also, the hard drive is perfectly satisfying depending on the price, 640GB should be plenty. Two questions, what precisely is this computer? (Brand, code) And how much is he paying for it? For 600 bucks, there's definitely more advantageous. Edit : power you through cyberspace CHEEESYYY AS HELLLLL.
  9. The transmutation table sometimes take a ridiculous amount of time to update itself on laggy servers, I'm talking about minutes. What if you try in SSP?
  10. I'm pretty sure we will have already sent other toys in 75 years. Also, it'll just stop. I think the nuclear combustible will just sit there until we pick it up.
  11. Lol. No, you didn't. Check the common problems and solutions thread.
  12. D: One of the things I LOVE about this pack is the grass, its brightness in particular :/
  13. Why don't they just disable the mods they don't want in Technic?
  14. ... Neon Genesis Evangelion? :D

  15. I agree with Adler. Plus I don't want my IRL friends to know I play Technic. They might ask me to explain it to them. D:
  16. Well, to be honest, I mostly consider my Dense ores worlds like a hooker I didn't plan to pay from the beginning; I abuse the shit out of it until I can't get any goodness out of it, and then, I run away before I have to face the consequences of my acts. Uh... Not like I do that or anything...
  17. Sorry, lixixgixsxomumxu.... Whatever, I see the good intentions, but this thread is actually perfectly legitimate. Because the guy is only asking the thermal expansion mod to be added on the mod list on the main site, since it already is in the mod pack. He isn't suggesting to add it to the pack, since it's already there. Plus, there isn't a "Technic site" section, but this isn't off topic either, so the cafe lame is the best place this could be in.
  18. I never..Thought of quarries like that... Now, I'm going to try to actually answer OP's question. You seem to have confused the BC pump with the mining well, whereas they're two different things. The mining well mines dirt/rock etc, while the pumps takes care of liquids, which seems to be what you're searching for.
  19. There is also the Vis/Taint system from Thaumcraft And btw, the BC energy is named MJ (MinecraftJoule).
  20. No shit Sherlock. ...Ugh.

  22. Doesn't the MFFS have an option to clear all water within them? Unless this is only present in Thunderdark version's, I'm sorry I can't check right now.
  23. First, make sure the pool you're pumping from is 5x5 (at least), and place the pump in the corner. Placing it in the corner is important because it makes it far less likely that it'll drain out the pool altogether. Finally, be perfectly sure you have a chunk loader such as a world anchor where the pump is pumping. Also, am I right if I say you're using water strainers?
  24. I don't know if it's because of that, but I've set up a server without using Hamachi and I didn't have this problem. Making a server without Hamachi isn't all that hard, and it's actually safer. Just look up port forwarding tutorials on google.
  25. 1. You want to use pneumatic tubes, not pipes. just link all the tube together in a single one, and then to a chest, the tubes will do the routing automatically. 2. Energy Condenser.
