  1. First off, it doesn't download when you hit ok on the options screen. Second, try clearing the cache first in options and then let it redownload that modpack and you should see the custom.zip last being done.
  2. If its only chains they removed, whats the loss? I only have ever used single block instances of BUD's myself.
  3. Sorry Laz, but I have to disagree with you on FTB's good. Because frankly you cant have FTB and not the baggage slowpoke brought at the same time. Yes, had it come about without any of the drama brought by slowpoke it WOULD have been good for the community. The fact it brought the drama, the password debacle, the donations to fly to Shangri-La, etc etc.... in the end. No. It has not been good.
  4. Not only that, but he continues to do so. His outburst at Calclavia is just one example regardless if it was a joke or not.
  5. yes, the computercraft forums has a subforum for programs released to public.
  6. I'm trying to figure out something with regards to lag I am having with a frame quarry. On this server there are 2 frame quarries. The first quarry presents no lag for me whatsoever when not in use. My quarry however lags me in a steady wave of pulses like maybe block update ticks? Both quarries are 16x16 in base Both have on board sorting setups and a skirt system with deployers My quarry uses more than one kind of block type for the covers/panels. It was made to be more of a mobile house so it has windows and a drivers cab view. It's important to note this is lag when the machines are not running. So its a lighting/microblock thing I'm sure. If I can get some folks to mess around and see if they can replicate this though that would be cool. Exterior- obsidian/sandstone covers on the verticle surfaces and wood plank covers on the horizontals. Cobble panels on the roof for blusolars. Interior wood covers and cobble panels with a few obsidian panels.
  7. you downloaded the JAR right? not the exe?
  8. i have not looked, but i do know if you used a bat file before to preset variables, the launcher relanches java anyway. Perhaps manually editing the options.txt of the launcher might let you add a line item for java in there if there is an argument string for setting it.
  9. I am confused as to what your problem is?
  10. well, the 9x9 means its ignoring the landmarks for one reason or another. place 4 ( or 5 ) right click one plant quarry next to the right clicked one ( yes it matters )
  11. How much "garbage" do you have in the loaded chunks? This is where the problem with that preset heap size comes from.
  12. i have seen permissions be a cause. spawn one of them. Have an op replant it and see :/
  13. yes, failing to read your own log file AND low effort posting is not going to get you very far on this forum.
  14. no, the message comes up with any account and any password entered as a login is attempted and failed. A valid login with no premium would yield the "Account not premium" message. OP, double check your login info on the minecraft.net page.
  15. new server/reset ? maybe the buildcraft id is lacking proper permissions?
  16. are you dropping the quarry at the corner next to a landmark outside of the bounded area?
  17. yeah, i ended up removing my living stuff off my quarry as a result. The other issue is dealing with food on a frame machine. Now, single player wise I'd up my block limit for frames and use MFR planters and do wheat I think. That might work being moved. Otherwise some setup involving frames to hold melon vines and blockbreakers.
  18. not really. It has issue with solar arrays, ironchests, and advanced IC2 machines that I know of for a fact.
  19. isn't this behavior why he keeps getting in trouble with forge and the IC2 team?
  20. define "played that" are you saying you played the demo?
  21. I can manage to add manual mods myself and even I felt the video was very weak in instruction.
  22. or better yet, simply browse their subforum for programs released to the community.
  23. FWIW, their are nice systems on Newegg.com for $500 that blow that laptop out of the water without needing to DIY yourself a box.
  24. again, how could he tell it was technic and not ftb? they're both simply modded mc. i would've passed on the incident to slowpoke and go " SEEES WHAT YOUS DONE!!!!"
