    1.4 pre is out

well, THAT source. That's what I call credible.
  3. wooden pipe to extract from the lowest tank in the stack. any other pipe into a higher tank than the wooden to insert into the tank.
  4. i dont understand why a server would ban ender chests and yet allow teleport pipes.
  5. i believe you MUST use a wood pipe to extract from the energy link just like any other machine.
  6. i don't care what you've used from the beginning. There are cardinal rules with regards to pipes. 1. wooden pipe ONLY for removing/taking from a source. 2. teleport pipes to ANY pipe except wooden As far as conductives, I always use golden's as my in between pipe eg: device>wooden>golden>teleport or teleport>golden>device I think alot of the issues that revolve around teleport pipes disappearing on smp is from too short of a pipe run before/after the teleport. Lengthening before the teleport seems to make the pipe more stable from experience.
  7. you don't use wooden on the inserting/output end. Also, try using a stone pipe between the wooden and the teleport pipe. I've never been able to connect wood to tp direct and have it work.
  8. jakj is my hero. seriously. it was a beautiful read truly.
  9. i'm tempted to go cheaps route simply because its a pain in the ass to unwatch every damn thread you trol...er respond into. And yes, its alot of effort to unwatch 10 pages of threads from 9 months if you haven't been keeping up to date :/ I was only wondering if it was at all feasible within the forum software to separate the two choices.
  10. Thank you, most kind. you are a scholar and a gentleman :)
  11. hence why I asked if there could be a tweak done to separate the two. and yes, I know there is the option to turn off the emails. My point was from a server admin stance I wouldn't have that on by default simply from a load/bandwidth/cpu usage standpoint.
  12. Is there any chance of separating the watched threads preference between replied to threads and authored threads? I want to watch threads i make, but I really don't want to watch every single thread I reply to. Also, I would change the default user setup to not be emailed for every single watched thread post. From past website administration that is a metric ass-ton of unnecessary server load.
  13. wait, "we" were no help at all? clearly "we" have an issue with your referenced "tekkit video"
  14. and you cant even spell professional with spell check?
  15. silly question...its the tekkit video :)
  16. it was my understanding that what they do is increase the hull heat rating of the whole reactor. Not really adding any cooling, just raising the meltdown temperature.
  17. so, i made some more progress today expanding out my base layer. it surprises me though how little action threads on general MC talk die out and the keller threads get all the attention :)
  18. clearly you have not seen the 1:1 scale replica of the Galaxy class enterprise-D
  19. you can always temp ban. it simply requires a new user level with no access to anything.
  20. I like the volcano idea...funny how the map I started to build on had no volcano for a change anywhere in sight I think its the "flat" look of their undersides that always bothers me.
  21. I'm in the process of building a new base on a new map out of boredom. The one thing I decided to do this time around though is build and live entirely in the air. Yes, there will be some initial work on the ground, but sanctuary is still the sky and once I have quarries etc...no more groundwork. The topic of question though is how you go about building your bases? I have some things I always do and its a matter of placement etc for ease of use and decor. Like a rubber tree farm, sorting warehouse, wood farm...etc And then of course there is the question of artistic design. What do you think would make a good "theme" to try and follow for a sky base? I did one map once where all my functions were on circle platforms covered in glass domes and had 5x walkways between "pods". I'm never happy usually with the underside appearance of my sky constructions. Anyway, rambling on here hoping for some better conversation in here this week :)
  22. as a volunteer fire fighter I agree, the courses are in high demand :/
  23. That's not fair...you've used that bmp before :)
