on the page where you go to get technic one of the first things it does tell you is to get java and then tells you to get 32 or 64 bit depending on your system and HOW to tell.
but, construction foam IS in minecraft
seriously, its not needed for the 2 points of use you listed. And frankly, neither purpose makes sense to me. You insulate wire with rubber not plastic, especially HV and EV. And you use something malleable to waterproof piping, hence the cactus greens to waterproof putty not plastic.
what would be neat is maybe synthetic rope and rigging stuff that you could then use for like zip lines etc...
clearly the attitude exemplified by the OP alone would keep me from even attempting to help.

sorry, was out of town this past week. I put that world on hold and had started a new one, but torchlight2 has been feeding off my time lately. I'd been age hopping in a new map trying to buildup a crystal farm before I delved into TC again. I thought about transplanting in alot of silverwoods too before I got going.
I'm sorry, i just refuse to believe this until I see it myself. There's no logical reason to code it in such manner. It provides no benefit to the program and only problems for the users. How would any schmuck port forward to play with his buddy with the new "publish to lan" feature if you never know what port its going to use to forward. Let alone windows firewall and antivirus programs throwing shit fits at it for port hopping.
holding tracks will stop and hold if left unpowered. I think you probably have a redstone going to it all the time in which caseit may toss you back.
boarding stations are the other option.
i dont know if i'd be interested in doing anything actively while the base was in motion. i'd picture it more of a move, exploit area, move again kind of approach.
