  1. i missed a day of drama and look what happened. and just when I thought things were getting better.
  2. once again someone who doesn't understand that the contents of tekkit are not done by the creators of the pack and that is what is holding back its updating.
  3. he wants to make a launcher that doesn't involve logging into minecraft.net so he can play with a pirated copy of minecraft.

    i tend to like blacktooth's setup and have used a variation of it on all my maps since. I use 1 sorting machine per target chest. Set each machine to sort any item from any column and then tag all items in every column to the same color. The whole system ends up being 5 blocks high and 3 blocks deep expandable to either side for any length. Coupled with the iron chests mod for large single chests I alternate the tube colors to have the system as compact as possible. the front column is 2 sorters a space and 2 chests from top to bottom. Behind that are 2 columns of tubes, for example the rear red and the front white. Then you flip the colors with the next row and so on. Then to hook up the system you simply tube the front of the sorters and have it come to a point. I use a relay myself because I tend to have a teleport pie input from a quarry early on. The far end of the system I have a restriction tube and output it to a waste disposal and overflow chest using a filter for dirt/cobble/sand/etc... waste goes into my TC crucible and overflow goes to a chest.
  6. don't make claims you have no means of effecting the outcome of. The mod is a very good idea and deserves to be in tekkit once the technical issues that caused it to be removed are corrected.
  7. First off there is a fundamental difference between technic/FTB and tekkit. That is the ability to host large quantities of users on a single persistent server and manage the server appropriately. Just because vanilla has gone to an all smp compatible mode does not deter this differentiation. Now, my speculation would be that tekkit will remain well and alive as its own entity for large server play even if tekkit were to use all the mods in the technic pack, it is already true that not all servers run all the same mods. Tekkit unto itself will primarily be a server I believe with the client end having a name difference only to denote varying loadouts for particular servers a user plays on.
  8. usually i only revise when I desire an aesthetic look. That or i move very very far away and start anew or reset the map.
  9. since simple closed the pie thread The wife and I are digging through recipes and one thing I am going to attempt for this thanksgiving is a cake with apples and cranberries. Little bit of pumpkin spice and cinnamon maybe. as much as I love pie, cake is good too.

  11. how are you measuring the EU/t though? Is it smart enough to measure it in such a manner of 16 32EU/t packets?
  12. well, forgive me if I am wrong, but my understanding is a cable can handle multiple packets of the designated size at any given period. So, in this case the EU transmitted is 32EU in packet size, but its not restricted to 32 per tick.
  13. that would correspond to the mv/lv transform of 4 32EU packets at a time with loss for 120 EU on the measurement.
  14. does that mean 1 higher voltage packet input and 4 lower output per tick? or does it throw out the other 3?
  15. I wanted to get some ideas and insight into how folks write up their own descriptive books for using Mystcraft. Mainly to see what folks target for a particular reason in particular ages and their choices of symbols. The present age I am exploiting I wrote with: flat plains, desert star fissure ( for exit purposes) ravines ( for getting to the lower levels fast ) bright ( so I wouldn't need torches ) eternal day ( same ) no weather ( storms = lag ) flat ( reduces mobs on the surface generally and I wanted chickens and animals.) dense ores 33x ( i wants the minerals ) and then added by the mod: single biome I am presently building my reed farm and sorting warehouse so I am in need of lots of iron and ores. I make plains/flat ages for farming chickens for feathers and horses/cows for leather when i need them. I don't have a reliable method for producing an age ideal for squids though. If I try I always end up with dolphins/rays only. Wood tendril ages are great for wood. I do forest/standard to hunt silverwood trees for transplant. Other thoughts?

    a sorter only stops sending items if there is no longer a valid destination. without a pic of your setup I cannot tell you more.
  20. hmm. maybe its a case of it creating the file just fine but in his mod its not reading/referencing it by the same naming syntax.

    well, are you using a single macerator or a bank of them? You can use maybe 3-4 macerators and have a buffer in line before each and then feed the entire bank on the same colored tube and it should flow.
  22. thats wierd, cuz file structure wise it doesn't seem like anything is wrong. It follows the norm of worldage naming.

  24. is it a mystcraft bug or an rei bug?
  25. I've been having issues with my waypoint files and mystcraft ages. For some reason they aren't loading when traveling back and forth. The DIM files are intact with the waypoint data in them. If you try and make a new waypoint it overwrites the file losing any other waypoints previously done. I tried deleting the DIM file altogether and just making a new waypoint in game and then relaunching. Again, not loading. It's not giving me any grief on my overworld waypoints though. Any idea what is causing this bug or how to fix it?
