  1. Have you tried reinstalling the whole pack with the launcher? Also, make sure you're using the right version - crafting table III isn't in the latest, and I don't think Immibis is in the one before the latest (though I may very well be wrong on that).
  2. As a pvp game, if there is any kind of time limit, "wizards" will win. Every.frakkin.time. Because the only thing BC/IC have is nukes and quantum armor, both taking a lot of time to get, while EE has awesome PVP stuff from maybe one day in. And personally I think EE still outnukes the nuke, the only thing that's really at any level equal is quantum vs. gem - quantum making you nearly completely invincible while gem making you decently invincible but at the same time able to fly, shoot lightning, blow up the world etc etc. For PVP, I think there's simply no contest.
  3. Smart moving I'm all for, it's cool as hell. Gun mod... Maybe. The laser is already very high-tech so I don't see any real damage in that. Pokemobs and portal gun? Nope! No way, not evaaahhh. Just my opinion. Humble like a boss.
  4. Yeah, it's possible via railcraft and a sh*tload of buckets, but it's not the easy way! xD
  5. Just tested, I could place at least 65 cannons and it didn't stop me so I don't know.
  6. Might there be a standard cannon-limiting configuration? From what I've understood, when balkon's got removed it was due to performance issues - maybe the issues were mostly relevant when there was a lot of cannons, and so they put a limit and brought it back?
  7. I think this is how you should do it: DT===CrF=|| ||===TC=== === and || is tube (D)eployer adjacent to water fills bucket, (T)ransposer picks bucket and sends through tubes to (Cr)afting table where the stuff is assembled, (F)ilter picks out empty bucket and sends through tubes to the bucket chest (you should have a few chests going). Transposer picks buckets from chests and put in deployer to refill it.
  8. test letting it go through a chest first. You might also want to use pneumatic tubes instead of pipes, they work a lot easier, especially when combined with RP machines such as the deployer.
  9. Why would you want to? Redstone engines give one BC power unit per "wave" they go. The higher speed the more power. If you want low power, my suggestion would be to have two redstone engines, and a timer connected to a switch integrated circuit (don't remember exact name, but when it gets an input it switches between two outputs). If you set the timer to like a minute, each engine will be running for one minute, shut down, and the other will start. But redstone engines don't overheat or anything. Usually you want them as red as possible.
  10. Pneumatic tubes are a lot simpler to get working than buildcraft pipes usually, so if you know how BC works you'll probably find the tubes very easy. The key rule to know is that they always takes the shortest path.
  11. PatriotBob: But, can RP2 pumps/tubes insert liquids into for example geothermal generators? That's the issue I've had with it. That, and that it doesn't work with tanks AFAIK. I have a quite compact setup using like 4 pieces of waterproof pipe and a pump powered by an electrical engine to keep 4 geothermals going at the same time powering an mfe, it only takes 3*2*2 blocks plus a lever, and is really pretty... It's like my favorite machine I've every designed, though it's simple and probably many others could have done this as well. Could I do something like that with RP2? http://imgur.com/mt0Vv About pumping over one block, I like it for compact storage of liquids in tanks, and sometimes to make nice manual input slots into sorting systems (I have a sorter sending ores etc automatically to a macerator, but then I have an override-chest connected too and that's one block away).
  12. littleweseth: Well, not better in EVERY way. For moving liquids, BC pumps/pipes still work better - and if you want to move objects from one chest to an adjacent one, an advanced wooden pipe is much more compact than tubes (taking just a single non-solid block instead of transposer + timer) I love tubes, and use them nearly exclusively, but there are a few circumstances where pipes have benefits.
  13. Input should be from the top, I think. Note though that using pneumatic tubes instead of pipes will usually be better - they're smarter and lag less and in general are just great.
  14. From what I know, only by installing a meter in each coalplant via a deployer with an EU-reader. And you're going to have to add it together yourself.
  15. Newe: Why are you annoyed at other people when you admit you don't understand their arguments? If something, shouldn't you be annoyed at yourself and try reading it again? Yes, there are no "balance" issues with EE when you don't use it. However, for the same price and effort you get your quarry, you could have set up a machine that nets you several diamonds per minute (or other things). It is very useful - my issue with it is that it is _too_ useful. Now, of course it could be said that all mods make the game easier - but I wouldn't use a mod that let me start the game with infinite health, no hunger, and flying either, despite it making the game easier. People have different tastes when it comes to how "easy" they want the game to be (or rather, how much power they want the character to have). Some people want creative, some want EE (though late-game EE is arguably easier than creative), some want tekkit-EE and some want vanilla. There is one big difference between the other major tekkit mods and EE though. Industrialcraft, buildcraft, and to a certain extent redpower have a lot of _complexity_. While you get a lot more power than vanilla minecraft, they take a lot of time and effort to set up, and to a large degree only work with limited resources (well, most powerful stuff at least). You can create something out of nothing with only IC2+RP, but it takes an enormous wind or solar farm to do it with any kind of speed, combined with a cobblestone generator, recyclers, blockbreakers, tubing systems and so on. Heck, even a basic macerator takes some work to get up and running - and either a decent wind/water/solar farm or running on coal/lava, finite resources. EE is different in that regard. It's very, very simple to get a lot of power. Just by crafting your first t3 divining rod, costing a single diamond, you'll increase your diamond acquisition speed more than with a quarry or three. From there, you quickly get compact, effective collector farms - which fits in a small room, all by theirselves - no wiring or power needed, and produces diamonds in seconds. Few people here are "judging" other for their playstyle - the closest thing I've seen is someone writing a post with caps overusage whining about how people "annoy" him "100%".
  16. On a side note, I hate that it orients with power side towards you. Makes it nearly impossible to orient a transformer into an already placed and half-filled mfsu.
  17. Yeah, the loss should be minimal. You could troubleshoot the system by wiring up batboxes farther and farther away and see where it begins to bug out.
  18. My suggestions: Don't get power in exactly EVERY wall brick. Get a few MV/HV outputs at certain places, otherwise keep to LV. Use a lot of battery boxes and copper cable - far cheaper than glass fibre. And still you don't need to have it in every wall square - just make a line along the lowest wall block of each, and a few "crosses" over the floor. You might want to use redpower Lamps instead of luminators. They are very pretty and don't really take up that much more space (since you can hide redstone wiring with covers). If you really want to use luminators, use tin cable - very cheap. For the issues with getting output, make SURE your transformers and batboxes are connected correctly. Remember that the odd block (three dots in vanilla, lightning in sphax) side on transformers is the higher voltage one.
  19. What have you tried? Uninstall/Reinstall? New worlds? Single player/Multiplayer? Tunings on optifine?
  20. You might want to check your GUI scale. I've had issues with Not Enough Items and full-screen, though they were a little different. Make sure to set it to a hard value rather than auto. Don't know if it'll help but worth a try.
  21. Well, you could enter a world in 1.3 in creative mode, fly around for a while, and then export it. That's the only way I know.
  22. Divining rods are free. They have a smaller area than the OV scanner, but the turquise and blue ones have larger area than the OD. However, they are much more precise - they point in a 16*3*3 and for the blue one 64*3*3 area, and they show you the EMC value of the most valuable (and for the blue one, the three most valuable). This means you can run along a wall with the blue one until you see 8192, which is OFTEN, and then just dive straight ahead with a pickaxe to get it. My diamond acquisition speed with vanilla + divining rod the first three to four days of gaming would be higher than my tekkit -EE diamond acquisition speed during this time. After that, I might have enough quarries to outdig the divining rod.
  23. Yeah, if we whine enough I'm sure it'll get done faster!
