You cannot remove herobrine, for he merely returns, more powerful than the last, to exact his revenge once more.
-
Holy shit, when was that added?
-
Yes, we know.

That's like saying apples are like apples. The snapshots are literally public dev builds. Also it's not strange that Technic gives you lower FPS than vanilla (even considering the state the snapshot is in) because it has a billion mods in it that all do a billion things. It has higher requirements than vanilla.
-
Those aren't mutually exclusive. Really, trolling is just a subset of that anyway.
-
The snapshots aren't really a replacement for that, they're just dev builds that no one knew existed until they started releasing them. Otherwise we wouldn't have a Minecraft 1.2.5...
-
I wonder if one of the problems plaguing Minecraft is that they're always working on too many things at once...
-
Yeah, I'm not expecting to use 1.3 at all. Half the mods probably won't bother updating, while the other half will only be able to update by the time 1.4 makes it out due to MCP probably being set back a long way.
-
I have to wonder how exactly they're doing this. Are they completely cutting out anything that wasn't part of the client's SMP abilities and going from there? Last I heard, there's a shitton of graphics code embedded into the program logic in an incredibly stupid way (dat notch etc)...
-
Except they can just decline to use any feature they deem "overpowered" in SSP, so they don't even have that meager justification. If you're unable to keep yourself from using something just because it's there, you have bigger problems than a mod being "OP".
-
That's assuming it actually gets updated again (it's still at MC 1.0, and I think the creator(s) is/are MIA). It was sort of an interesting mod, but it made almost every single vanilla item completely useless once you actually got to the Aether, which seems kind of... "meh".

You just tell them to not put tomatoes on it, and they don't (unless they forget). What kind of American are you that you don't know how fast food restaur places work? -
Technic SSP is extremely similar in composition to what direwolf uses iirc.

It sounds like you downloaded the Java installer... and then set the launcher to load with the Java installer .exe instead of actually installing Java.
-
If you can't find it, then you're not going to be able to put it in the right place when someone gives it to you...
-
We don't really need a bunch of one-mod "packs" in the launcher, that's just kind of silly.
-
It's been happening pretty much since 1.0 was released I think. Just notch being utterly retarded again (thankfully he will no longer have that opportunity!). I can only hope the bukkit team will finally get that fixed, since smp is their thing.
-
Actually I'm pretty sure it would, you can do something like "java -cp minecraft.jar net.Minecraft.main <Username>" (this is definitely not the correct string though, it's been a long time since I saw the thread about it) with the jar in .minecraft/bin/ instead of using the launcher's minecraft.jar to play offline mode directly and not be named "Player". The problem of course is that Tekkit doesn't actually mod the jar but does a bunch of on-the-fly patching after you launch it (though I think I heard you can just merge modpack.jar into the minecraft.jar and it will work?).
-
Just open the log file with any old text editor (preferably something better than plain notepad but I assume it will work anyway). The "check the web for help" option is generally utterly useless, use the other option and pick your preferred text editor.
-
You'll need someone to upload the appropriate "CHECKSUM.md5" file to some filesharing site I guess, since that's not a vanilla file but part of the Technic launcher itself (it goes in ".techniclauncher/launcher/" apparently).

You had a heart attack and died? How have you lasted so long thus far?
-
I seriously doubt curse will actually do that.

@Sal, there's already a fully automated tree-farm setup that harvests Birch trees which could probably be adapted since they have similar enough growth patterns (ie: the wood will all be in a single column); you'd just have to adjust the max height variables (counters). Videos of it in action: here and here. Although, since rubber trees drop so few saplings, it might also need to be adjusted for an increase in efficiency in catching sapling drops; I might tinker with it and post a video if I get the chance (and someone else doesn't beat me to it ).

I assume that any forestry items/blocks will simply be deleted upon world load (or converted to random blocks that steal the now free block/item IDs). Your best bet is to tell people to get rid of any forestry-specific blocks and items that they have and to not make any new ones.

, play voxelbox if you want to make a 1:1 scale model of the entire World of Warcraft... world. (aka yeah, voxel is for building shit like there's no tomorrow)
