  1. it was fun to be able to change people's titles/names on a whim sometimes. RIP ~guitarsarlac420~ or whatever his name got changed to. good times.
  2. you haven't seen the dev builds, have you? also, it's in tekkit lite already. enjoy.
  3. blah blah blah, we get it. you are upset. I hope you feel better now. if not, maybe you will after your bottle and nap.
  4. you're crimpin' my style here man edit: also, it sounds like something server operators might know. maybe they meet up somwhere and swap tips about running servers or something?
  5. you know what burns my biscuits more than people not reading the rules? people not reading the rules and then claiming they did. you're either a) lying or the worst ever at reading comprehension. if it's option a, I don't want to help you if it's b then no matter what I write you will not remember it in 20 seconds. so which is it, are you a goldfish or super lazy?
  6. railcraft can produce UE power with a steam turbine, IIRC. that's why it's in there.
  7. I'm not sct, but unless some real progress is made on forgebukkit (I know it was being worked on by various people as of a month or so ago) tekkit may not end up still using the bukkit API. from the announcement that was made, they are looking to move forward with forge based server plugins, like forge essentials. that seems to be the way everything is moving anyway due to the bukkit team's own stubborn myopia. basically, don't hold your breath.
  8. I hadn't heard that there was a 1.4.5 RP2 patch that got released, that's pretty cool. personally, I don't see the difference. if there's enough demand for something, it's going to happen regardless of anything else. there are tons of examples of this. technic itself is an example of this, forge is an example, BWF is an example. anytime you have something really cool, and the creator puts arbitrary and restrictive limits on it those limits will be broken provided the thing is cool enough and the limits are restrictive enough. I honestly have no idea why eloraam thought it was a good idea to release only for 1.4.6 when she had a 1.4.5 version as well. no one wants to play JUST RP2, and people had been chomping at the bit to get their hands on an updated red power. knowing that, she released for a version of MC that pretty much no one else had updated to yet and withheld the version that people were actually looking for. I don't really think anyone should be surprised by what happened. if you don't give people what they want, and it was clear that they wanted it in this case, someone else will. welcome to the internet and real life. as for why authors don't like their mods getting modded, it is a little ironic isn't it? usually it's because when you make something like that, it's your baby. you don't want anyone screwing it up because it's yours and surely they don't understand its beauty like you do. it boils down to a trust and pride issue, IMO. it also depends on what is being modded. if someone makes an extension that builds on another mod, that is usually less of an issue than something that takes mod a and changes half the things in it to basically make mod b. it's rather nebulous and depends a lot on the personality and outlook of the modder. there's not much of a definitive answer.
  9. the whole point of voltz is that everything uses UE. take a guess what RP2 doesn't support? if you guessed "UE" then you'd be right. also, as the prolo said, spamming up the boards with stupid threads won't get anything in the pack. it will get plenty of people kellered and/or banned though.
  10. but cheap, the ipad port was supposed to be only for the cool people! how will I stroke my E-peen now?!
  11. I don't like your idea. I also don't like you. the answer is no.
  12. the OP was banned not because he disliked overpowered things, but because he made this thread: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technic-is-illegal-do-not-download.34018/ for the most part, if you're not THAT stupid you can say pretty much whatever you want around here. there's no enforced policy preventing FTB discussion, it just so happens that almost every FTB thread eventually turns to shit and gets locked or something because of it. this is why we can't have nice things.
  13. aight, let me lay this out for you. AD domains are meant to control a LOCAL network. a large local network, but a LAN none the less. you can't connect to it from the internet because you're not supposed to connect to it from the internet unless you're using some VPN action or similar. if you CAN, you have horribly mangled the domain and it's most likely just waiting to be co-opted by any random script kiddy with a copy of metasploit and/or some free time. your laptops have issues because of how the domain workstation authentication works. every PC on the domain has a "password" of sorts that it uses to auth to the domain controller every time you turn it on. this happens before you even log in. periodically, the DC will change the password and update the workstation. if the workstation is not around to update, it gets out of sync and must be rejoined. are you seeing why this becomes a problem when machines are leaving and returning to the network a lot? your situation is the kind of thing I literally do for a living. I set up that kind of shit, it's what I do. if you can't handle installing drivers for printers I am not at all surprised that an AD domain is a little hard for you to tame. do yourself a favor, brush up on NTFS permissions and basic windows networking (special attention should be paid to permissions), then learn to google your printer make+model and the word "drivers" at the same time and simplify your life by a whole lot. edit: oh also your original DNS errors have to do with the fact that DNS is basically the heart of AD. your domain controller is a DNS server and that is what allows the domain to truly function by telling workstations where the domain controllers are, etc. outside of the network you will have a hard time accessing your domain's DNS server depending on where you are. thus, DNS errors.
  14. I knew I'd heard that song somewhere before I may have spent a year or two collecting strange flash animations from across the interwebs at some point. I can neither confirm nor deny.
  15. yeeaaahhh... that's not how active directory domains are supposed to work. unless you are either a crazy network admin or live in a house with like 20+ computers and you're the only IT person alive on the planet, you don't need an AD domain at your house, nor do you need to join anything to that domain from outside the network. I thought you were talking about a domain name like www.whatever.com, which would have at least made some sense in some kind of way. this does not make any sense. go read up on active directory and what it's used for, once your head is done exploding you can get rid of that domain controller and just have a normal home network like sane and reasonable people.
  16. You will not win an argument with your parents. Stop trying. Play something else and show them that you're not actually a spoiled child. Demonstrate some maturity. It might just get you your game back, eventually. Plus it'll be great for building character. Arguing will simply make it worse.
  17. I'm going to leave it since you don't seem like much of a spam bot, replying and all. who knows, maybe someone here knows something.
  18. uuhhh, I'm not sure what part of this being a minecraft mod forum makes you think we have the touhou hookup or something. your post looks more like subtle advertising than a real question, to be honest.
  19. I tend to branch mine around level 10 or 11 to start out. gets me diamonds all that good stuff. once I can, I will automate all that though because mining is boring.
  20. nope. not a single one.
  21. it works without issue. also, don't sign your posts

    KPO

even urban dictionary doesn't have anything that sounds like it might be close. the only thing it's got is something about KPO being a descriptor for a crazy girl
  23. just set it to the latest tekkit build, that should do it. if they're not on 3.1.3 then ask someone who plays there which version they are using, or check the server's web page or thread or whatever to see if it's listed. basically, you're using the wrong tekkit version, switch to the right one.
