the computers turn off when the chunk is unloaded. put a chunk loader down or something. also, setup the GPS command as a startup script so you don't have do keep putting it in manually.

we don't make the mods here. we just put them together in a nice package. if you want ink in your printers, go talk to the computercraft author on his forums about it. there's already a printer in computercraft, btw.

you know what's awesome? when people state personal opinions as fact. the guy makes youtube videos, he doesn't have anything to do with tekkit. in all likelyhood he was referring to the whole forgebukkit debacle, but it's a decently large assumption to say that tekkit won't update because of it and you had better go play FTB instead. I'm glad he likes FTB, but he simply has no insight into the tekkit update process.

take the mats needed for one normal solar panel, then multiply by 512 and you're close. there's a few LV and MV transformers in there too as well as one HV transformer. so, a lot of stuff

rtemp needs to be in the same place as the techniclauncher.jar. it doesn't need anything in it (in fact it should have nothing in it). you shouldn't ever have to worry about the .minecraft folder with the technic launcher, because it installs technic/tekkit into separate places and doesn't mess with the default vanilla install. the folder with the techniclauncher.jar should be called ".techniclauncher". I don't know EXACTLY where it will be for you because I don't use linux and I'm not sure where it places itself. probably in your user's home directory if I has to make a guess. the key is to make sure you're putting rtemp in that .techniclauncher directory, and not somewhere else like wherever you put the launcher jar file after you downloaded it, because it will look in the same place (.techniclauncher directory) for the rtemp folder no matter what. if that doesn't work, then you are on your own. I've already had to repeat myself on an internet forum here once, so I'm just gonna suggest that if this doesn't cut it for explanation, try finding the nearest computer science major and asking them about it.

getting back to the OP, this sounds a lot like an issue I was having a little while back after I upgraded my computer and tried playing tekkit on it. I would get great framerate for maybe a minute or 2 and then massive lag, <1 fps, and it would become completely unplayable. only MC would be having this issue and there's no way my desktop with SLI'd GTX580s and 16GB of ram was having issues handling minecraft. it turns out, the launcher was defaulting to 32-bit java, despite 64-bit being installed and marked as the default. I had to create a batch file that I use to run the launcher in order to make sure it runs on 64-bit. here's how to make sure you're not having this problem: open tekkit, just leave it on the title screen. ctrl+alt+del and open task manager. look at the processes tab and find "java.exe". if you see a *32 on the end, it's running in 32-bit mode and this is your problem. if you don't, you're fine. edit: oh and the section names are fine, thanks. this actually belongs in, at worst, the general SMP section. at best it belongs in the tekkit bug board. it really doesn't belong here and I doubt you thought about it for more than 2 seconds.

really, redpower tubes are the best way to do this. just make sure you put the pipes into the bottom of the geogens, or it won't work. on a previous world, I had a tower of geogens all fueled by a single condenser with 2 mk3 collectors next to it. had like 15 generators there. it was good.

RP has a pump in the 1.2.5 version last I checked. from the looks of an image elo posted on her twitter, it seems RP liquid tubes will be interchangeable with BC liquid pipes in the new version, too.

with the old forums, kellering had no automation like it does now. if someone got kellered, it was because we went in, and changed all their info to be in the keller group, and also manually changed their avatar. it didn't expire until we happened to notice them not being a nubcake some time in the future and undid it in the same manual way.

I think it's generally a bad idea to recruit strangers for administrative positions or jobs that need a large amount of trust. want ads work pretty well in real life because there's some consequences for being a dick to your employer (or in general). it's just not the case online. if you don't know someone really well, putting them in a position of power will only end in tears. basically, if you're posting want ads on the internet for server staff, you're doing it wrong. if you need staff that means you have a lot more people than you can handle. recruit one of them, they're invested in not being a dick to everyone already.
