What happened to Forestry
freakachu replied to Gustaf Norlander's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
it was removed. it's not coming back. the end. -
I did some looking because apparently you aren't actually google capable and it interested me. what you're looking to do is proxy all your java traffic to get around a firewall. to this end you will need a SOCKS proxy if you want to play minecraft multiplayer. if you are just looking for some single player action, an HTTP proxy will suffice to download the mods through. take a look at this article: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/net/proxies.html specifically, the part on SOCKS proxies. that is what you need, combined with the whole rtemp directory thing I mentioned earlier. however in order to use a SOCKS proxy, you first need to have one to point to. can't help you there, but I'm sure there's a ton out there.

Yes this can be done. However when the server restarts these locks are lost. The exceptions are I think frequencies in the 4000 range, which can't even be used unless you are OPed.
-
btw, the 1.6.0 version of forestry (for MC 1.4.2) works fine with the latest technic dev build. and by "fine" I mean, requires some block ID shifting but outside of that no problems. a simple NEI block ID dump and a few config file edits and you're good to go.

right justifying your signature doesn't make it any less of a signature. also, we're not your personal server concierge service.

it's rather complicated. your best bet would be to wait for EE3 to be more fleshed out. even if there isn't configurable EMC values or whatever in it, EE3 is completely open source so changing such things becomes much easier.
-
I don't think it's easily configurable. you'd have to decompile the mod to change it.

hahahahahahahaha oh man, I needed a good laugh today. thanks.

When I try to log in to Technic, it won't actually fully open
freakachu replied to MClaToMiC's question in Technic Launcher
or at the very least, post some logs since the OP didn't feel like it was worth doing. chances are though that you don't have the exact same problem -
if this is a real thing and you aren't just putting text into the search box (black box at the bottom of the screen when you're inventory is open) on accident, then it is probably some kind of bug with NEI. chances are that if that's the case it will be resolved in the next version. in fact, there is a new technic dev build available that you could check out and see if it still happens on if you're so inclined.

Try using a buffer, either type would work, but I think the rp version is the one that will automatically spit things out into adjacent inventories which would simplify things.

Recruiting Over 14 Lets Players (tekkit series)
freakachu replied to markbosco's topic in Let's Play Pavillion
I think that basically sums it up. -
LOUD NOISES! also, there's no way anyone should waste almost half an hour for a tutorial on a single machine/setup/build. the milk farm isn't exactly rocket science. try fixing your caps lock key and trying again in the appropriate place, like the encyclopedia technica section

you don't really understand how these types work, do you?

no, he needs to be ignored so that he will shrivel up and go away from a lack of attention.

What games are best played with the PS3 Move?
freakachu replied to royhuijian's topic in Off Topic Discussion
re-adding a manual signature (or two of them, in this case) after being warned for it once is a bad idea. -
IIRC it's 1 EU/40 blocks
-
that's nice. see you later.
-
if you don't want to lose EUs to converting them back and forth, you can use an MFSU cart and railcraft's EU loaders/unloaders to transport the power. also, lapotron crystals combined with ender chests or item teleport pipes.
-
we aren't here to do your research on servers for you.

this answer is going to be kinda vague, but it sounds like you have the ability to google the blanks here. depending on how the block is being set up, you can use command line arguments to tell java to proxy all of its network traffic and avoid it. at least, assuming it's port based. I don't know the exact command line args. something like -Dhttp-proxy or something similar. the trick is making it stick. the launcher reboots itself on launch by default for whatever reason. it order to stop this it needs a folder called "rtemp" in the same directory as your technic launcher jar file. the directory is deleted each time so you're gonna want to set up a shell script to do this.

haha neither did I! I'm not even going to bother editing that.
