if you're using tekkit classic, then yes. for a more updated experience, try tekkit lite. it runs on 1.4.6

I can understand where the OP is coming from. I'm not a fan of the start of a new world really, either. however creative just doesn't do it for me. I like the problem solving aspects of the game, setting up infrastructure, creating machines to do what I want, creating more machines to maintain the previous machines, etc. that's what I enjoy. tedious mining for hours isn't exactly exciting to me.

that actually seems like it would be pretty cool, and useful as well. I know I wouldn't mind seeing something like this implemented.

1) launch technic 2) dump item IDs with NEI 3)add mod to mods folder 4)open minecraft 5)note the block ID that it conflicts on, if any 6) change that ID in EBXL's config files, which will now actually exist, so that it uses a free ID 7) go to 4 until you get no errors

These Mod's - clash with/work with - Tekkit-Lite

in the meantime, the custom zips feature will let you include config files to make keeping clients in sync fast and easy. -
actually, I would be really happy if when I launched technic, it got me a soda. even better if I could set an option to include ice or not, depending on my mood. eventually I think a system for determining if I want ice or not automatically would also be great.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=LrmC-WPxsfc#t=60s also, you could have just looked at the freakin section list you know. I won't call you lazy though, because you are, in fact, crazy. ok I take that back, don't be lazy next time and take the time to actually find an appropriate section to post in.

also, I'd like a pony and a million dollars.

did you try looking here: https://github.com/TechnicPack/Spoutcraft-Launcher/tree/master/src/main/java/org/spoutcraft/launcher ? because I just googled "technic github" and found it in a few clicks. you might want to brush up on your internet searching skillz.
-
the technic launcher is open source, feel free to check out the github for it and take a look at how it is handled. I will tell you this though, it is not anywhere close to that straightforward.

here's your concise explanation: create a zip file with the same folder structure as the minecraft folder. i.e. a mods folder, a config folder, a bin folder, etc. put the files you want to add or overwrite into the correct folders, mods in the mods folder, config files in config, etc. you don't need folders you aren't changing anything in, so if you're not messing with modpack.jar you don't need a bin folder in your zip. replacing mods requires that you name the file the same, even if it's an upgraded version. host your zip file somewhere. put the URL to your zip in the custom zip box. you're done.

did you watch the tutorial video?
-
that's the general gist, yeah. I'd look up some tutorials and such though for the specifics though.

How i can make own modpacks fast and easy ?
freakachu replied to hek100's topic in Off Topic Discussion
ummm... throw a bunch of mods together and sort out the ID conflicts? use the custom zip feature of the launcher if you're feeling frisky? the general process isn't that complex -
the reason he hasn't been asked for permission is because, last time I checked, there are no plans to ever include his mod in the pack. there's 0 reason to talk to the guy when his mod isn't going to be in the pack. I guess he just really wishes he mattered enough for kakermix to speak to him even once? who knows?

I'm already on my PC, why would I go to my phone when I can just alt+tab and read a wiki or whatever in full resolution with ease. what about your app would make me want to grab my phone instead?
-
none of the mods or admins are professionals. you might also want to realize that doing what you are asking about is actually explicitly against the rules. the bug boards are your best bet for outside help.
-
what would make it better than alt+tabbing to google or a wiki?
-
open CCsensors should also be able to do this, or just plain old CCsensors if you're on tekkit classic
-
depends on what kind of server you're running. also realize that bukkitforge (not to be confused with forgebukkit) is a thing that works with tekkit lite.
-
listen, unless someone's gonna die or be horribly maimed if you don't get on minecraft, it's not urgent. if you had bothered to even do a little looking on your own you would have found a million different places that explain what that error is. you don't have the .net framework installed, or don't have the latest version of it installed. go install it. alternatively, use the .jar launcher.

you discover that being up all night gets really boring really fast and sink into a personal hell of depression and boredom edit: the heat comes on and never turns off, your house burns down. I wish to always have enough money to live comfortably and pursue my hobbies

the custom zips feature would be great for your situation. totally up to you if you want to use it along with tekkit or not though, I'd say that's just up to personal preference. if you don't, you can use the vanilla pack + custom zip to have a pack that is just your mod or the mods you want specifically. if you do use tekkit, the choice of tekkit classic vs tekkit lite will probably be down to which version of MC you want to make a mod for. since classic uses 1.2.5 still, you'd have to make the mod for that version if you want to use it.
