  1. what boggles my mind is that image. what is its point? why is it there? what does it MEAN?
  2. probably the LPP if I had to make call on it.
  3. there were no screenshots, only a page that said "put your minecraft account name, email, and password in here and I totally promise you will get a cape. 100% legit!" essentially. not cool.
  4. a check that verifies the minecraft jar has not been altered in any way and that no code has been injected at run time, and crashes the game if it has happened. optionally displaying a message warning the user that they have sinned in the most terrible possible way and instructing them to delete minecraft from their computer and never play it again under penalty of DMCA.
  5. because you are indistinguishable from a pink baby based on the content of your posts.
  6. logipipes will put things into barrels (from the top only of course) if you tell it to request the item. even a basic logistics pipe can do this, just right click with a wrench and put the item you want in the barrel into the pipe's UI. you now have a barrel that will only ever be full of that item, no matter what. repeat as much as you want for any number of items. you can also specify a chest to send anything that doesn't belong (this is the default route button). the only thing is that you need to know or decide what you want where slightly ahead of time, though that isn't usually a problem. using provider pipes on the bottom of the barrels will allow them to be accessed from request pipes. alternatively, you could use tubes to input items into the barrels, then logipipes to remove items. set the provider pipes to leave 1st stack or something and the items will never be fully depleted (I have not tested this with barrels. works with chests though so I assume it does on barrels). with this method you don't need to know what order things are. in fact you could hide the entire setup, barrels and all, somewhere out of sight and just use a request pipe to get what you need on demand. the logipipes will sort out the locations and all that for you.
  7. unfortunately, they were added in to MFR after 0.5.7 came out, which is why you can't find them. they are worth the update though, believe me.
  8. Deep storage units from mine factory reloaded. They store more, and are configurable as to which sides are in and outputs.
  9. that is a desktop so what he is talking about does not apply. on laptops, they tend to try and use the integrated graphics on the CPU as much as possible to save power. minecraft does not do whatever it takes to make many laptops think it's a real for sure 3D application and so it doesn't try to use the real graphics card to render it. the result is crappy FPS for seemingly no reason, even though other games that are much more graphically advanced run fine. you should get 60+ easily, 100+ is also likely a fair amount of the time
  10. that PC should be able to basically crush minecraft, hardware wise. you may still get some times when you're <60 FPS, but that is because minecraft is coded like ass and not because your rig sucks. most likely you will never notice any frame rate issues unless the most ridiculous stuff is going on at the time, like setting off 50 nukes or something like that.
  11. if it's an actually good thread, meaning what we consider good not what you consider good, idiots shitting it up get warned/banned. if it's too terrible their posts are also deleted. we try to avoid deleting posts or editing them if all possible though because we aren't actually complete assholes. now, many people have some really warped ideas of what "good" is and often confusing it with "stuff I agree with". you should probably not do that.
  12. oh but it does make me big. if you know what I mean. heeeeeeeeeh heh. dongs.
  13. FEAR NOT, THAT MEAN MODERATOR HAS BEEN FIRED AND KICKED IN THE NUTS! also, is that you, wastipk?
  14. "I realized I was a moron, but can't admit it. I mean, I wuz jus trollin guise! LOLOLOLOL!" edit: now that that is over, I just want to add that anyone who believes what we do here is "customer service" or considers themselves a "customer" is extremely confused.
  15. I am not much of a fan of PvPing in minecraft, but it certainly would make it more reasonable if you couldn't see people coming from a mile away
  16. shit, you figured out my devious plan! this was all a setup to make me internet famous! damn it!
  17. so... what? you want us to feel sorry for being horrible people? please, show us the way oh white knight! lead us to the promised land upon your high horse!
  18. do you feel better now?
  19. I have this avatar because this is pretty much my face when posting. I feel it fits with my personality and the voice I convey in my text. also, who doesn't like cats on the internet? am I right?
  20. just so everyone's on the same page, you're talking about this thread, right op? here is the problem, you are most likely young and inexperienced. that thread was not about the poster's kids. it was only tangentially about minecraft. that thread was about a guy, who may or may not have been a father (let's hope not!), trying to make a really terrible "99%" style argument and thinking that the technic team was morally compelled to DO SOMETHING about it. he claims to have been wronged and blames everyone but himself for it. it's tekkit, it's donators, it's money. if he was at all genuine, he would not have kept it up as long as he did nor would he have waited for like... 4 pages before claiming to have tried to move servers/talk to the admin and then claim it's not about "his kids" it's about "the next kid" in a terrible "think of the children!" moment. but you are young, and he had proper grammar for the most part on top of literally sounding like a politician. never trust anyone who sounds like a politician. the world isn't just, it isn't fair, and it isn't nice. the internet is the same way. the sooner you realize this, the better.
  21. really? you seem to have a serious hang-up regarding EE2 and the people who use/used it. this sentence fragment is directly implying that EE2 users are unable to handle gregtech. your entire argument so far has been "people only dislike it because EE2" which is a piss poor endorsement of the mod. the word for what you are doing is condescension. look it up.
  22. I guess we should add "poor reading comprehension" to your already immaculate resume
  23. you mean you don't have hours to wait around while things process/cook/whatever? what, you think your time is actually worth something? pfft.
  24. this is what you just said. you literally contradicted yourself in a single sentence. please, just stop. no no, you see according to cpw, it's totally cool to fuck with other people's mods as long as you are writing your own mod to do it. let that sink in for a moment. yeah.
  25. which makes the fact that the mod requires config alteration to even approach something resembling "enjoyable" and not turn the game into a second job somehow better? are you arguing that it should be less ridiculous by default with options to enable sperg mode in the configs instead? because you're making a fantastic point for that argument.
