The obvious one here is that it uses the latest build of Forge, which has ForgeModLoader and built-in 128x128 texture support, but I'm unsure of any others.

And yet with Technic you get most of Direwolf's mods and it takes less time to install the ones that aren't with Technic!

There's a place called MCPortCentral where people port ModLoader mods to Bukkit.

I get the feeling this is something we can't exactly fix; you should probably check and see if anyone has posted this bug over on the IC2 forums. If not, post it.

Hmm... what version of Java are you specifically running, like are you running OpenJDK, or Oracle's JRE? What update version are you on?

I'm not a modder so what does regular ModLoader offer over Forge's ModLoader implementation, to both the end-user and modders? Genuinely curious.

Look in the server list. Either that or actually fork over some of your own cash for a server and get people playing on that. People aren't going to say "omg look Noxity on mah serever!!!!!!!"

Any Java program I've used that has a "launcher" which opens the actual program, even if the launcher has no visual representation, does that. Lemmini is one example I can think of; I have it pinned to my Taskbar, but when I open it, it opens a seperate icon on the taskbar.

Try clearing the cache from the Launcher's Options menu. I haven't seen this error before.

When Java executes shit, it does a quick sanity check by comparing the JDK version the .CLASS files being executed were compiled under to the JRE that is executing the .CLASS files. If the JRE version is lower than the JDK version, Java will shut the execution down due to the fact that certain base Java libraries can differ from version to version, which can lead to bizarre shit.

EDIT Scratch what I said earlier, are any of the clients getting those errors in areas where like Æ,Ø, and Å are common? A quick Google search says Bukkit has issues with any command with characters like those.
