  1. No. You open up modpack.jar and put in it only the files from the jar mods you need. If you only need forge, the the only thing in modpack.jar should be the forge files. The launcher handles merging minecraft.jar and modpack.jar. Also, you can edit your posts. do so next time.
  2. You don't have anything in modpack.jar and you're distributing the entire minecraft.jar. Don't do that. The only things you need to distribute are things that are different from vanilla. That means that pretty much the only thing in the bin folder should be modpack.jar, which should contain the jar mods you need, like forge.
  3. If it says that it's downloading in the client, but then runs vanilla, it's usually that you didn't set up the zip correctly.
  4. Definitely needs more interrobangs. ‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽ You may or may not be able to see those, depending on your browser font and other settings, but it's a combination of an exclamation mark and a question mark. http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/203d/browsertest.htm
  5. Block IDs are not guaranteed to stay the same between different versions. If you want to use your old world, you'll need to find the IDs that changed, then either convert your world with a tool like midas gold or change the IDs in the new version to match the old.
  6. ...each config file in there is associated with a mod. Pretty much any mod that adds blocks has IDs in it's config file.
  7. You can also use NEI to output a dump of all IDs to a file.
  8. No. That's pretty much the opposite of what you do. Only include the bits that are different than the base. This will usually include modpack.jar, the mods folder and the config folder. There's a bunch of tutorial threads floating around, read one of them for more details.
  9. From the looks of it, this may be a load issue. Xenotashin, is it happening every time, or will it sometimes work and sometimes not, like Skrir described?
  10. Use pastebin, then post the link here.
  11. You could build a couple more houses and a fully functional power grid. Then add some assembly lines and build the city of tomorrow.
  12. Heh, yeah. You just downloaded it, everything quiet, you don't realize your headphones are cranked up, and then suddenly a cow is very interested in what you are doing and my god that leaf block is loud when you touch it and oh god walking hurts...
  13. Yeah, optifine is sort of a special case. The reason that they contain the same file is that forge has some rudimentary support for Hi-res texture packs, but recommends you install optifine. It also includes code to check if you're using optifine, So it's not that optifine has forge stuff, but that forge has optifine stuff, but will always concede to optifine if it's installed. That's why ordering is important when installing jar mods, forge first, then optifine.
  14. Ask the server manager what version they are running on the server. Then, in the launcher, click the gear icon below the voltz pack, check the "manually select build" button and choose the version the server manager gave you. This will blow away your current voltz folder, so back it up if there's anything in there you want to save.
  15. If it's any consolation, according to the mekanism changelog, it's fixed in 5.2.3 and above. We're at 5.2.0 in the rec. version.
  16. The old folder should still be there. The new one is called .technic, the old one .techniclauncher. They both live in your %appdata%\roaming folder on windows, or your ~/Library/Application Support folder on Mac.
  17. First, do calm down. Bumping is not terribly appreciated around here. Second, think about it, which is more likely Voltz is using bukkit for the server, but for whatever reason didn't create the plugins folder. Voltz isn't using bukkit for the server. Have you answered your own question yet?
  18. Ok, just tested this. Looks like a bug in this version. You could try upgrading or you could go straight to a coal generator instead of using redstone to power it.
  19. Ok, do any other enrichment recipes work?
  20. You second post was 10 minutes after your first. Learn some bloody patience. Make sure you have enough redstone in there. One is not enough to complete an enrichment cycle.
  21. That's a message from microsoft. I wouldn't expect to be contacted by them. Make sure your java is up to date and try reinstalling java if it's already at the latest version. Edit: you could also try the new beta launcher, if you're not already. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technic-launcher-2-0-beta-get-it-in-here.37902/ Just note that it installs to a different folder (.technic instead of .techniclauncher), so you'd have to copy over any worlds from the old location to the new one.
  22. You should go check out his other 'idea'. It's in the requests forum.
