  1. Aww, I was hoping we would get a whale box thread out of this. Little short for that now though. Seriously though, reading this thread was a little like being on drugs. Like, I could sort of tell what was going on, but the haze of surreality and bad english was so thick, I just kept thinking: "Am I high, or is everyone else high and I just missed the memo?".
  2. Seriously... what part of this not being the correct place to discuss this did you not understand? I honestly do not give two flying figs over how much you like or dislike anything. Go find one of the threads on this topic that people have made already and post there. Maybe they'll care. No promises though. Heck, if you actually read a few of those threads, you might find a post from a mod or admin explaining why CTIII is no longer in technic.
  3. Here's an idea: how about reading the rules of this forum, then taking a long hard look at yourself. This is pretty far from a correct place to put something like this, even without the fact that this has been asked and answered a bunch. Be technical, use an automatic crafting table or 5 in your production line, use a project table for misc. things you craft a lot, do something to improve your situation besides whining. ugh... :frogout:
  4. With the methods provided to us? Not sure. But perhaps changing the pack affects the texture pack files in some way? You could put a watcher on the directory... I think nio, in java 7, has a method for getting last access time.
  5. The launcher does, I believe, cache builds if you change version, so that's not a huge issue. But yes, this would require the launcher and minecraft to communicate in a way that isn't entirely possible right now. I can see possibly storing some info in the launcher and adding a "which server do you want to join" GUI, but that could only load a version of minecraft, not connect to the server as well. It would still be up to the user to connect to the right server, and as Neowolf said, what if they wanted to switch servers without quitting minecraft? They'd still get the same errors and be even angrier because it was supposed to be "fixed" or something. A nice idea, but not currently feasible, in my opinion.
  6. And I think what xylord was saying is that having a 3x3 crafting area in the inventory would remove the need for the normal crafting table(as well as the philo stone's c ability, I might add).
  7. You've not seen sneaky pipes? http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/forums/topic/1-1-0-sneaky-pipes-bc-3-1-2/

    Problem?

It is what it says it is. Try updating your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, then your next post should be in the bug board, not here.
  9. Ok, pictures are check. Now the clicky?

    REQUESTS

You posted this "request" to my profile as well. I fear you are too manly for this forum.
  11. Okay, I cast the runes and added a link to the bukkit version to the first post. It appears to work for me. I would really appreciate testers though. And I'll put up some pictures tomorrow evening, I swear. For now... *dead*. Edit: I probably should mention, you install it similarly to the other versions but for tekkit, BlockThinFence.class goes in modpack.jar, with the remaining zip going into the mods folder as usual.
  12. But then it wouldn't keep using that generation. Any new chunks would use the basic generator.
  13. Obviously, you didn't notice that the thread I linked describes exactly how to do what you're asking. I really can't believe I'm doing this, but I am now going to quote the directions in the thread I just linked, which has also been given to you by several people in this thread who are probably being too nice for their own good. This series of steps will give you the latest tekkit client build. That's what it tells you how to do in that thread. If you refuse to believe that answers your question at this point, I really don't think I'll be putting any more effort into this thread, as it is 5:00 here as well. Edit: Heh, yeah, Gennah got it. I take too long to type.
  14. You really didn't, or you would have known where to post. Among other things. There are no manual patches. Everything is done through the launcher, and, as people have been trying to tell you for most of this thread, The setting you have to tweak to get the latest tekkit client is in the launcher. Again, this you would have known if you'd read the stickied post in the tekkit bug board. Now I don't normally do this, as I think it's pretty easy to go find a thread yourself, but since you're having problems, I'll give you a link. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/must-have-forge-build-136-error.16750/
  15. Well, let's see. 1. You posted in the SSP board with a SMP question. You also posted in the discussion section rather than the bug section. 2. When someone actually took pity and answered your question, you asked another question, this time one you could have found the answer to with a minimum of effort on your part. (If you really looked through a hundred threads and didn't find an answer, you should really see a doctor about potential sight issues. The exact answer to your question is one of the stickied threads in the tekkit bug board.) 3. When people called you on this, you decided it would be a good idea to begin insulting them. And yes, the first one you started laying into was Gennah, right after he pretty much pointed you to a thread where you could find an answer. Basically, you came to our forum, didn't read the rules, asked a question that's been answered a lot before and put it in the wrong forum. You ask that we show you a little consideration? We ask the same. Perhaps if you showed us you were deserving of consideration by acting in the way that you wish to be treated, this thread would have turned out differently. As it is... perhaps it's time you learned a valuable lesson about entitlement, and how you're not actually entitled to much respect based on your actions here so far.
  16. That is perhaps the item ID. If Covert Jaguar needed to do something tricky, it might concievably not match the block ID?
  17. First, this isn't the correct forum to ask you quesstion in. Here, we ask about creating mods. Second, no, just because a mod is one pack does not mean you can enable it in a second so easily. Third, tekkit is mostly meant to be used to connect to tekkit servers, not to play solo. And fourth, Millienaire is SSP only.
  18. I... I think it's talking to itself.
  19. How about you give us a little more info, like the steps you took to get to this point, and the version numbers of the various things you're working with.
  20. You need a decompiler to make .class files readable, not to open .jars. .jars are glorified zip files. A .class is a compiled java file. To look at the original source code, you'll need a decompiler, something like jd-gui. To edit a .class file, you'll need a hex editor of some kind. Finally, if you're looking to get rid of the quantum chestplate (for what reason, I'd be interested to know), you probably want to find where IC2 registers the block and declares the recipe. This is usually in the mod_ class, but the more complex/larger mods tend to have a more complex directory structure.
  21. Also, how on earth are you planning to make a return? Selling mods is almost certainly a no go. I mean, if you're treating this as a comission, that's another story. But yeah, there's not really money to be made here.
  22. Yeah, just trying to make a pics or gtfo joke. As in, "Oh my, what kind of pics are you expecting me to post?" But yeah, pics are a good idea. On a somewhat related not, we do have a spoiler tag, yes? Something collapsible?
  23. Um... is this... I didn't realize this was that kind of forum.
  24. More releases. New textures by our own Morton00000, particles on the furnace, and a new fuel system, inspired by one of jackj's comments.
  25. if (FMLClientHandler.instance().tryDispensingEntity(par1World, var13, var15, var17, var9, var10, var12)) { ; } That's the code forge is adding right now. As you can see, it does... Actually, now that I'm looking into it harder, that tryDispensingEntity call does actually do something. Stupid tests that take actions. I'm afraid I must retract the first part of my previous statement. The forge call already does something, so make the choice to be forge compatible or vanilla compatible.
