So why did you bother to take the effort and post here? Do you really love hearing yourself speak that much? He just sat enjoying the exposure then tried to sneak in an attack. Without something to do the modding for them, most users wouldn't even bother. Just look at the problems people have adding more mods to packs like technic and FTB, situations where 99% of the work is done for them.

First off, Slink and Munaus have just as much right to post here as anyone else. Name calling is just juvenile and shows you lack the ability to express yourself in a way that doesn't invite pointing and laughing. Your attempt to make a point is bad and you should feel bad. I can't tell if you're pissed and throwing a tantrum or if you really think your commands hold any weight around here. And the point you're trying to make is "I don't agree with your work", which is a valid statement but doesn't mean anything. Forestry was pulled because sengir is a child who threw a tantrum just like this. But he decided to attack users in a sad attempt to blame the admins here for people losing their worlds. He never once asked for the mod to be removed. Not once. He even admitted to it in a rant on the MCforums, though pointing that out just invites him to flame you and scream about how you obviously can't read because he obviously meant something completely different. Yeah, personal experience... Now, you say you don't agree with the existance of large public packs. Well why the hell are you using the most popular public pack in minecraft existance then? Just walk away and do what you think is best. Making demands on here isn't going to get technic shut down and magically make all the other public packs disappear so we can all go back to a time when everyone had to mod their own minecraft to play on modded servers. YOU may like the idea of small private packs, but the user count on here alone says you're outnumbered by over 100,000 to 1.

So are you asking how to get started on a mod? If so, learn java. If not, wrong spot for this.

Hrm. Well, I'm not a team member, I'm just a mod here (no say in the pack whatsoever). But if you ask me, your commanding tone and overly inflated sense of self importance is why you get ignored. "arrogant fools", demanding attention from the pack team and no one else is allowed to speak up? What are you, a bond villain? You obviously believe you can do better, so do it. No one is stopping you. And if you really know so much more about how to get the mods working completely bug free then you should have no problem putting a pack together and drawing the hundreds of thousands of players who play technic/tekkit away with your superior solution. Of course, your pack would be themed off technic admin hate and perpetuation of the permissions myth. Now where have I heard of that before? Oh yeah, FTB! Good luck.

Yeah yeah. Pony up the goods, then we talk turkey. Till then UU is still a rather unique and well balanced approach to reducing scarcity.

IC2 adds more than just electric armors and "smash ores, get metal". Crops are nice and can be MUCH higher output if even a little effort is put into it. Cheaper than a MFR planter/harvester combo by far. Brewing is an interesting diversion with useful results. UU matter is pretty unique and solves endgame scarcity without being overpowered. Energy generation/storage/use is MUCH easier to deal with than BC engines and TE energy cells. You'd need pretty much all of volts and some extra just to cover what IC2 adds.

Jumping to conclusions like you just did is what spawned the "technic is stealing money from modders!" bullshit in the first place. "It's too professional. No one would waste money to do something like that." Next time think before you make claims like that. I'm sick of dealing with it, the last time I did the haters called in sengir to flame me knowing I wouldn't fight back and start a flame war on alblaka's forums.

"Technic is a money making scam" is a favorite rally cry of the idiot haters on the IC2 forums. They've gone so far as to claim kakermix has hacked paypal to siphon donations from the mod authors. Go search on there for the math they tried to use to prove kaker was making bank off this place. It's really freakin hilarious watching them try to justify their claims of near free hosting costs and $1.25/ad view (per single view, not hundreds or thousands) for this place.

Ok, just so you know there's a difference between plugin and mod. A plugin is a bukkit addon that runs server side only and generally just changes game behavior. A mod is a forge derived addon that changes both client and server side and adds blocks and other things that require art assets/GUIs/ect... Yes there is more to it but in the context of this place it's the most apt definition. Now, it is possible to make a plugin that affects the mods in technic, but you'll have to pick the mods you want to touch and see if they have APIs of their own. If not, you'll need to force your way in using reflection or some other trick.
