emesquita Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Well, I was playing FTB Monster when a "Trent" (lycanite mob) atacked me and Ftb crashed, I tried to to remove lycanite's mobs but the World keeps crashing whenever I open it. Here's the crash report: http://pastebin.com/U1KatEd5
Melfice Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I suggest you go to the FTB forums, rather than the Technic forums. I know we're all super-awesome, and it's hard to imagine there's anything but Technic, but we really don't offer support for the FTB launcher and associated packs.
emesquita Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 you're wrong, because last month there were 3 guys that helped me with a Ftb problem...
Melfice Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Then those guys were being super awesome helpful, but in general you want to take crashes for a specific launcher('s modpack) to their forums. Those modpack creators, whose responsibility it is to offer support for their packs, can then help you best. emesquita, Roversword and disconsented 3
emesquita Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 I know but, in Ftb foruns they take FOREVER to solve the problem, while in here, people just like to help others and do it because they like to do it!
planetguy Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Looks like a problem with Lycanite's Mobs adding a broken potion effect. You can try using a save editor to remove all potion effects from yourself (you also would want to remove the offending mob so it doesn't happen again, and probably configure Lycanite's to not spawn more). If you want a solid fix, you can try updating Lycanite's Mobs in your own installation, but FTB should do this themselves.
emesquita Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 I could use something like MC edit and or something, but I don't know how to do that... I'll just google it, thank you.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted December 23, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted December 23, 2014 No, you would use NBT Explorer to edit your player data file. emesquita 1
emesquita Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) Ok, I'm using the NBT Explorer, and this seems complicated but I managed to enter my player data and I found the active effects. Each one comes with an ID, the Ambient, the Amplifier and, of course, the duration... Now it finds 5 active effects, I don't know which one is causing the problem but what I do know is that I'm using some pendants (from geostrata mod) and they also are giving me potion effects. I removed the one wich had 119 of duration because all the other 4 effects had the same duration (wich means they're the geostrata pendants) and when I oppened the world, it was still not working! I checked the my player data on the NBT Explorer and the effect appeared again! I checked twice if I had saved my player data file and I did... what should I do now?
