yuncrafter Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Hello guys, I'm german so excuse me for my english. I tried to update the Tekkit Lite Pack for Minecraft 1.7.10 and searched for all the mods on this newer version. Luckily I found mostly all of them, but the problem is I can't get my new "Updated Tekkit Lite Pack" to work. I made a zip file with a bin folder, there in a Forge 1.7.10 file named "modpack", I created a "mods" folder too with all the new mods and cores. To be sure I also made another "coremods" folder with all the cores in it. Last there is a "config" folder, empty. I uploaded it on Dropbox and the Technic website, and I'm even able to download it on the Technic Launcher. But if i click "play", it opens up and shuts down immediatley. Is it that the Cores are wrong placed, or are there missing Cores? Unfortunately my Modpack is too big to upload it here, so I will paste in the Dropbox link here to download it on their website. Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l611q3llmifjqy2/Modpack.zip?dl=0 Thank you! Quote
rynzii15 Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) Delete the coremods folder....if you want to know what happened to them, try looking for them in the mods folder --> then 1.7.10 folder in that folder...you will notice ta da there they are! Edited May 16, 2015 by rynzii15 Quote

Sorry, I don't get it... I deleted the coremods folder but every time i start the game, it makes a new empty one. I have the Cores both in the "mods" and in the "1.7.10" folder. I don't have to look for them. But the log file always says: "not found coremod data in [mod]", even if i have put the Cores in all folders they might are supposed to be Quote
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 16, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted May 16, 2015 You have a very old version of Forge for 1.7.10 (#1230). You might consider updating to a newer version, but make sure the mods you are using match the version of Forge. Considering the rest of your mods I feel it is wise to update to the latest Forge. Forge for 1.7.10 does not use a /coremods/ folder in any way. All mods belong in or below the /mods/ folder. CodeChickenLib, bspkrsCore, ForgeMultipart and liteloader belong in the /mods/1.7.10/ folder. You have two different versions of Applied Energistics in the /mods/ folder. Remove the oldest one. You need to update your version of Mystcraft. Your version of Logistics Pipes does not match your version of BuildCraft. Get the latest LP and make sure you update Forge. Your version of ProjectRed is out of date and needs updated. You have two versions of ProjectRed-Base. Remove them all and update. PowerCrystalsCore is for 1.6.4 and should be removed. MFR for 1.7.10 does not require it. Address these issues and come back if you still have troubles. Quote

I did what you said, played a little bit around with the latest and recommened Forge version, but now I always get another crash log. I'll upload it on this post, it's a little bit hard to read for me but maybe it means to you more than to me. crash-2015-05-16_16.51.14-client.txt Quote
yuncrafter Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 Okay I found out what the next problem is. If I put in an experimental, above-2.1 version of IC2, it crashes. If I put in a stable, below-2.1 IC2, it asks for a version above 2.1. But there is no recommened version of it above 2.1, what do I have to do now? Quote

yuncrafter Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 this didn't belong in Bug Reports. Technic is not responsible if your own pack doesn't work You are right and I apologize, but I thought the members here know this mods like IC2, Buildcraft, know the compabilities of modpacks better than normal mod forums, so I created the topic right here. I hope I ain't bother anybody with it... Quote
Moderators Munaus Posted May 16, 2015 Moderators Posted May 16, 2015 I didn't say you couldn't post on this forum, that's fine. I said this topic, your custom pack, does not belong in Bug Reports. Technic is not held responsible for other peoples packs. Or FTB packs. Only Technic modpacks made by Technic team are brought up in Bug Reports section if they fail to load. Here in Platform Pagoda you can freely discuss about custom packs, as your own Quote
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 17, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) If you are using a current build of Forge, you need to be using the IC2 builds from here: http://ic2api.player.to:8080/job/IC2_experimental/ Also, please provide the API URL or the pack details page link for your modpack.
