rainstorm Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I Have discused with users on my server what should tekkit add , And we came up with a few ideas , I.E - Cars / Buses / Planes !! Roofing because we dont have any to make our houses look realistic !! The cars/buses/planes idea was because we have minecart or boat and we would like things that dont need water or rails , That can be controlled like a boat but without the water! They wont need to be fancy but aslong as we can have automobiles without requirements !! Thanks for reading, Rainstorm33 Quote
Forum Administrators sct Posted July 26, 2012 Forum Administrators Posted July 26, 2012 Cool bike dude! Quote
rainstorm Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Ooh another idea, Thanks for mentioning it , Bikes would also be cool ( They dont need to look realistic , Just if they works !! ) Quote
Forum Administrators sct Posted July 26, 2012 Forum Administrators Posted July 26, 2012 How fast does that thing go Quote
xtrasyn Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Water flows that accept a panel as a drop and not an entire block. That would mean a recode of water flow but imagine, really slow flowing rivers, beautiful. Quote
Beer Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 iF you put cards in your spokes, it sounds like a MOTORCYCLE! Quote

Thanks for reading, Rainstorm33 There is Planes and Car mods out there, but for SMP? boy, that is another story. What's wrong with using staircases for roofs? Quote
rainstorm Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Staircases for roofs Dosent look realistic in my view, I would love something that can show the best out of a house , I Make amazing houses and when u look at the roof (It looks bland and horrible!!) Quote
Forum Administrators KakerMix Posted July 26, 2012 Forum Administrators Posted July 26, 2012 lol :p Quote
Lothos Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 i always though it would be neat to have liquid source blocks with "XX" blocks of pressure to them so you could get spouts of water, lava eruptions, etc... I assume the oil ones are simply a located source block at a height? Imagine coming across a lava source block while mining that could flow UP!! Quote

EzioA Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 That would change "never mine straight down" to "never mine ever." Huh. I am more of a risky type guy, I'd go mining even if every block I mined had a 1/5 chance of blowing up. Quote

EzioA Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Like nether ores? Exactly. I mine them even with a crowd of pigmen around and no armor to protect me at all :3 Quote
Lothos Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 That would change "never mine straight down" to "never mine ever." Not necessarily since the flow rates aren't changed. You would have to be more careful with mining downward to have a backup route. Quote

Lothos Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Oh, I was imagining more of a lava-geyser. That should be a possibility. Say the pressurized block has 8 blocks worth of pressure in it and loses 1 unit every block upward it goes. Even if the start block is encased, when you pop the cork it should flow up as needed. And each block up still flows outward as a normal source block in addition to going up if it has pressure. Quote

Doesn't finite water have that? Quote
Torezu Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Oh, I was imagining more of a lava-geyser. Isn't that basically a volcano? Quote
BuccaneerRex Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Isn't that basically a volcano? Well, sure. The original idea was a sort of pressurized lava pool underground though. I would love to see the Red Power volcanoes actually erupt, although not while I live inside them. But it's already harrowing enough to mine into a large lava chamber when you weren't expecting it. Now imagine that it could also flow upwards from the floor to fill in where you are. Something like finite liquids probably already does that. Quote

You should try playing PlasmaCraft, where overworld acid likes to flow faster than water, and hurts like lava. I've had a couple of very narrow escapes from mining into an acid pool. Quote
BuccaneerRex Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I've seen that, is it any good? I prefer my mods to be synergetic, so I don't like standalone mods, or mods that don't really do anything beyond their own sphere. Quote
