Custom Pack Loading As Vanilla

So Im pretty sure I did everything correctly, but whenever I load this pack on the launcher, it launches in Vanilla Minecraft.

What in the world did you do?

You fell for the usual trap (no biggie, happens to a lot of people) by zipping the folder that has the bin/mods folder. (So navigating the folders it is Folder > Folder > bin/mods | It should be Folder > bin/mods | You can do this by directly zipping those two (+ config folder is three).

Now, what I don't get... Why is there a mods.zip inside your mods folder?
