Question

Hello there,

Since I haven't got any luck of finding a fix or someone mentioning this issue I'll place it down right here.

A few months ago I have noticed that whenever you're launching a Minecraft modpack from the Technic Launcher Minecraft suddenly hijacks all of the available RAM which causes to freeze the entire computer for 10 - 15 minutes before I'm able to terminate the process manually in Task Manager (Windows 10). Since I have 16GB of RAM in my pc I allocated 8GB of RAM to Minecraft (which should be enough for many modpacks) in the settings shown here below but no matter what is set in the Launcher Options seems to have any effect, it straight up ignores it all together.

I'm out of ideas and in desperate need for a solution because this issue makes every modpack I have (small or large) unplayable at this point.

4,0GB of the 15,9GB in use. This shouldn't really worsen the situation since there's like 4GB left when allocating 8GB of RAM.

It was as simple as that. The game closed immediately after the world generated in the Shivaxi RLCraft modpack. The console says, "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError." I have no idea what is happening, I just want to play this modpack but nothing at all is working right anywhere. Your basic answers will probably not solve the issue.

I am attempting to launch the modpack, but every time I try, it tells me that I need 64 bit stuff, which I have installed, and it says "this modpack requires 2 GB Ram" and thinks I only have 1. I have almost 8 GBs of ram available on my computer, why won't it work?

Recently I created a modpack called Ultra180+.  I went to go test my modpack and there were no mods. I went to go test it and discovered the mods were in the wrong folder.  I was able to change the folder they were in to the correct one on my computer but I don't no how to make it so nobody else has to move the mods around.
