Launcher capped out at 455MB RAM

So I have the launcher options set so it can use 6GB-s of ram but whenever I try to play it caps out at 455MBs. I need some technical help with this

This should clear Java Settings that are being stored in your OS, which interfere with Technic. This script was written by the main author of this bot, Khio, and can be trusted. http://download.uskarian.net/technic/clearJavaEnvVars.bat  

If you encounter this problem, this program will help you with it. Run it and restart your launcher. If not turn to the technic discord, i had my problem resolved in just a minute.

For some reason, people only find the posts without this fix, and then reply to some thread from 2012 or 2013 that's completely irrelevant...
