theprolo Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Will it be bugfixed much? (Or maybe even more then updated?) Slight issue, 1.0.1 should be out now. I think we can safely consider this achieved.
Nikolaj Faurbye Paulsen Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Hmm... My galacticraft wont download ... Or is it just because it is insanely big? :)
Blindsay Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I am getting the following error when launching it "Galacticraft Requires Basic Components, IndustrialCraft 2, or Thermal Expansion! You can enable Basic Components loader in the Galacticraft config or install IndustrialCraft 2/Thermal Expansion manually" I even deleted the .technic folder and re-downloaded it just prompted me to update and its working now, thanks. Now time to get my server going again :D
watsonj11 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 yay is fixed! Nope I was wrong it's still broken even on 1.0.1
Neowulf Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 It's like watching puppies as the dinner bowl is lowered... Calm down. And learn to edit instead of rapid fire multipost.
Altair357 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 ...Wow. Galacticraft is, like, epic. Way more so than it was when I first played with it.
ilayron Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Is it the misplace of Thermal Expansion in the coremods folder? If so you can manually fix that; Take the mod out of coremods and put it into mods. Easy enough.
theprolo Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Or you could just update, because the Technic team already did that for you.
lukeb28 Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 Reminder: This is not a RANT thread. This is to discuss the changes from the older versions of tekkit. If you have a problem, go to the bug board.
Grydian Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 The main thing we are missing with ic2 being gone is the ability to charge the MPS... With treecapitator you need to recharge the suit. I edited the config to use the tool and poof all the wood falls :)
watsonj11 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I miss my nuclear reactors I do too I wonder if solar panels would work properly in space
iconmaster Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 In playing the new modpack, I will admit that it has solid functionality. I do like it's take in minimalism, and it does provide sound core functionality without overlap. I'll still miss IC2, though; power generation's a lot more limited (TE engines dominate pretty bad right now) and I still liked the end-game superfast machines it had. I have IC2 in the 1.5.2 modpack I'm working on, and it's been very stable. I don't expect IC2 to come back to Tekkit (I'm certian Thermal Expansion will cover the areas left behind eventually, anyways), but I still say IC2's a strong mod. All in all, I can't say removing it was bad. The new Tekkit's really good, even without it. Also, what's up with Greg's Lighting? The mod's page only lists 1.4.6 versions, and it seems CannibalVox (the gut who helped fork Buildcraft, if I remember correctly) is an author of it now. Has Greg's Lighting been updated specifically for Tekkit?
lukeb28 Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 I read somwhere that TE is working on adding more power gen including solar. Should make for better midgame power.
Lethosos Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I do too I wonder if solar panels would work properly in space You'd be surprised at how much solar radiation a panel gets without an atmosphere in the way.
