hazza56 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Does anyone know how to power Galacticraft machines like the oxygen collector? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
CanVox Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 The same way you power other machines, I don't understand the question.
hazza56 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Well I tried redstone engines, still no power...
Jay? Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Well I tried redstone engines, still no power... remember, redstone engines are incredibly weak. Stick some stirling engines and check again.
Valkon Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Galacticraft's machines also constantly draw power, so you may want to set up a redstone energy cell.
Haskar Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Could somebody speak like we don't know how to use buildcraft????
Lostonexxx Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Stick some proper engines on it, like a magmatic, sterling, combustion or steam. The TE steam and magmatics are very user friendly, good power and easy to maintain.
Jay? Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Could somebody speak like we don't know how to use buildcraft???? I gave advice. I'm not going to teach people how to use the entire mods, when accurate wiki's are available.
RedAssassin53 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 All's I have trouble with is getting the pipes to hook it up to.... Meaning the pipes wont hook into the machines.

You have to use conductive pipes to transport your energy, with a wooden conductive pipe attached to the engine itself. But I would highly recomend investing in redstone energy cells and conduits as they are far superior.

Zyre36 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I'd like to point out that the conduits often fail to work on my tekkit client... the Buildcraft pipes are superior due to that
Dash16 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I'd like to point out that the conduits often fail to work on my tekkit client... the Buildcraft pipes are superior due to that Fail in what way? I bet you are simply forgetting to change the conduit from input to output or vice versa.
Zyre36 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Fail in what way? I bet you are simply forgetting to change the conduit from input to output or vice versa. Say what now? I just use the pipes man... I can't make the conduits input or output, so I leave them alone
Valkon Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Say what now? I just use the pipes man... I can't make the conduits input or output, so I leave them alone You use a wrench to change them.
Zyre36 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 You use a wrench to change them. Thanks, but I'm gonna stick to the energy transport systems I know how to use...
Valkon Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 There's not much of a difference between using Energy Conduits and Conductive Pipes, as far as setting them up goes. Conduits are generally better though, especially for high power or long distance power (if you're not using something like tesseracts).
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 25, 2013 Discord Moderator Posted May 25, 2013 Thanks, but I'm gonna stick to the energy transport systems I know how to use... I know how to start a fire with sticks and some dry brush. That doesn't mean I'm not going to use the lighter I have in my front pocket. Thermal Expansion's conduits are superior to BC conductive pipes in every way, in every circumstance. And not just a little better. It is like the difference between flint&steel and a cigarette lighter. Plus, conduits are WAY better when it comes to system resource usage.
