Der Artz Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Yeah, believe me, I love mods, why my stubborn friends refuse to play modded is beyond me...
Cinis Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I've been trying to get a server working with my custom modpack. I added the bin, config, coremods(empty), and mods folders to my server's folder along with the 1.6.4 base server stuff, which is the version my modpack runs on. When I run launch.bat a console opens, it creates the libraries folder and downloads some files into it, then abruptly closes. Some text flashes onto the console for a split second, but it's too fast to read. I see alot of people posting their error messages to this thread, does it save them somewhere? Or does it normally stay open so you can read, copy and paste?
Shayd Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 It's the same issue I have, It's missing library files but I don't know how to fix it, they say to download 20 different files but don't tell you where to put it. Come on guys what's the point of the whole thread if you DON'T TELL US WHERE TO PUT THE FILES! I've been trying to get a server working with my custom modpack. I added the bin, config, coremods(empty), and mods folders to my server's folder along with the 1.6.4 base server stuff, which is the version my modpack runs on. Der Artz Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Yeah, just find the library files missing (it should tell you in the terminal)... This should, as you said, be everywhere... Now I'd hate to impose, but I still have my server issues of the server not working properly... It's not saving right and generated chunks are cut off abruptly, cutting entire mountains in half and whatnot, I personally don't care but my friends will INEVITABLY complain. Any ideas? I had one guy say it my be something with access to my world file... but he went dark on me...
MasterHill Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 That actually happened to my first single player world that I created back on a rather poor laptop, and has carried through in every transfer I have made of the world save. It would seem, based on this, that it happens because of some sort of corruption or random change in the world seed for generating terrain. Don't hold me to this though.
Der Artz Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Know any way of fixing this... I'm using a desktop that's fairly reasonable... Not lightning fast, but it works... And like I said, the world seed isn't the real issue it's the non-saving chunks.... I can live with block-y biomes, but not having to constantly rebuild my house...
Valtrino Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I've been trying to get a server working with my custom modpack. I added the bin, config, coremods(empty), ? 1.6.4 doesnt need coremods folder. just a mod one. but yes everyone is having the library issues at the moment
Cinis Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 There's a link in the description of this tutorial: In the files it gives you it includes a libraries folder. Deleting my libraries and replacing it with that folder seems to have improved things for me, so maybe that will help others with that issue. Now I just need to figure out how to change the version of forge the server uses so that my modpack will be compatible. I'm guessing the server .jar that comes with the 1.6.4 base server .zip comes with forge 9.11.1.935, since the console says that's installed. Is there a way to upgrade it to 9.11.1.953? Edit: I switched out the .jar with the newest Forge server .jar, that fixed it :)
Jammy485920 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Hey I keep getting an error launching the 1.6.4 server Considering library net,java:jinput:jinput-platform:2.0.5 These libraries failed to download, try again.net.minecraft:launcherwrapper:1.8, org.ow2.asm-all:4.1, net.sf.jopt-simple:4.5, lzma:0.0.1 We appear to be missing one or more essential library files. MasterHill Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 As said above, everyone is having this library issue. If you can find and download the library files manually, you should be able to use the server. I would recommend just downloading the server file from the link provided by Cinis though, as it is a working Forge-Bukkit 1.6.4 server.

Kasea Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I'm having issues... i've done everything, downloaded and installed the libraries customly, and well... server is up and running, but i cannot craft certain things. such as fences from vanilla something.. anyone?
Der Artz Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Does crafting fences work in single player?
Shayd Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Does crafting fences work in single player? Yes Fence is a Minecraft item however Iron and Nether Fences are not. And I can't find what files I'm missing since I have RAID-0 SSD and launching the server file, and giving me error, and closing takes less than 1.5 seconds.
Valtrino Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 lol im still hopeless. it'd be nice if someone just makes the server file for me and sends it to me QQ

Add a pause line at the end the script or use the console to run the server
MasterHill Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 If you want a working server for 1.6.4, just download the files here: It will give you a completely functional 1.6.4 Forge-Bukkit server, although you may have to lower the memory usage to suit your system needs to be able to launch it. If so, just open the launch.bat files with something like Notepad++ and change the max memory value from 2G to 1G, and your problem should be solved. Again, credit to Cinis for finding this. Note: For some reason, the Echopet and NPC plugins won't work on my server. This may be because of my system, may be because of the downloads, may even be the plugins I was using together. Just thought it would be useful to put it out there.

An armor stand has become bugged, and it's causing you world to crash when it tries to load it. Just go into your world save with MCEdit and delete the offending block, and everything will be right as rain.
