  • The contents of your modpack archive are in a subfolder. The main folders (bin, config, mods) should be at the top level of the folder structure inside the modpack archive.
  • You have Useful Pets mod but not the required dependency mod SpaceCore.
  • You have Golem World mod for Forge/MC 1.7.x. You need to get Golem World 1.0.1.
  • You have no config files in your modpack archive. This is always bad and often fatal to a modpack. This guide for using my BareBonesPack has some good information on config files:
  • The default generated config files (see previous bullet point) have almost 20 block ID conflicts which must be resolved before the pack will function.

I have given you very specific details about what needs fixed. Additionally, the link I provided is a straight forward how-to on creating a modpack using my BareBonesPack. I'm not sure how I could be more direct than that.

Alright I believe I fixed some issues but now I'm confused. I updated forge and the Ichun Util but when I update them my game won't load. I am posting the file link here. Also the file I just posted is the old one with the original Ichun util and forge I used. My modpack is here. Thanks. Also, I fixed the subfolder problem.

Those three bullet points should look very familiar as they are identical to the ones I posted previously. You need to be addressing the issues reported with your pack before coming back for more assistance.

Im so sorry to bug you with this but I could not find Golem World 1.0.1. The mod creator said he does not post previous versions. I tried to use your barebones, it ran fine but when it came to the main menu it said Ichun Util is outdated: minimum version is 3.0.0. I have no idea how to generate these configs. So I honestly cannot continue because I have no clue. I will google how to generate these configs. Sorry to bug you I know I am a thorn in your side. Also by help I meant if you could give me steps. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  1. Stop posting huge error reports in the forum here without it being in a spoiler tag or in a pastebin.
  2. Read this for conflict resolution:

Ok so I read your guide. Im sorry but I did not get anything from it that I already didn't know. I cant figure out what ID's to replace the bad ones with. UGH. I have the corrupt ID's here. Instead of another guide can you just give me great Id's to use. I really can't figure this out. Please I just need the replacement ID's and I think I will be done. Thanks.

Let's examine some details from the IDConflicts.txt file you posted:

480: centrifuge from CloneCraft - vilewoodSlabDouble from NetherX
Suggested Ranges: 976-1439 (464 IDs), 3385-3845 (461 IDs), 1532-1889 (358 IDs)

The first line says that both CloneCraft and NetherX have a block set to use ID #480. The second line lists a few ranges of IDs which are free and can be assigned in the configs of one of the conflicting mods. In this case we can change "I:CENTRIFUGE_ID" in CloneCraft.cfg from 480 to 980 since that ID is in the "Suggested Ranges". This would resolve one of the conflicts. You would need to do the same thing for the rest of them.

However, since your modpack still has no config files, it won't matter what you fix because folks who add/download your pack will never see the changes you make. In your case it is safe to say that if you don't include a full compliment of config files in your modpack archive that it will never be usable.

Don't worry I have the configs generated. After I got the right version of golem world it actually loaded and I got the configs. But thanks for the explanation I'll try it and get back to you. Evidence of configs.

Alright your explanation worked for the first batch. But now when I launch the game the Evilcraft ID conflict comes back with a new conflicting mod, Galacticraft. So whenever I try to change the evilcraft or galacticraft conflicting ID and then launch the game it crashes. How do I fix this? All of the other ID conflicts were resolved!!!

2014-08-19 21:33:07 [SEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] Caught exception from B0bGrowsOre
[B#439] java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 4049 is already occupied by CakeIsALie.common.BlockEnderCake@30002876 when adding mods.B0bGary.GrowOres.BlockOreReed@28319836

You can change either EnderCake in CakeIsALie mod config or Reed in B0bGrowsOre mod config from 4049 to one of the IDs listed as open in the ranges from your previous IDConflicts.txt file. An alternative would be to disable one of those mods and launch the client. Assuming it starts you can dump a CSV file of all the used/unused IDs and then change the 4096 in one of the above mods to something unused in the CSV file (but below 4095) then re-enable the disabled mod.

Alright I need help please. I changed the Growable Ores ID conflict and the current one that forge brings up. In case you don't know which one that is it is the galacticraft and evilcraft. I changed both and my game still crashes. I DO NOT KNOW WHATS HAPPENING. ALSO I DID FOLLOW THE ID RANGES.

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 4096

It looks like you have set a block ID to >=4096. I've mentioned a few places that block IDs must be <=4095. You'll need to check your ForgeModLoader-client-0.log file in order to better determine which mod has the issue.

You need to be searching through these logs for things like this around the error:

2014-08-20 12:48:57 [SEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] Caught exception from B0bGrowsOre
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 4096

This states that you have set a block ID in the B0bGrowsOre config file to 4096, which is an invalid ID for a block. They must be <= 4095.

Keep in mind that the IDConflicts.txt file does not get created unless the game detects conflicts at a particular stage in the initialization process. The ForgeModLoader-client-0.log file is always up to date.
